No not yet...i am cheking with mumbai retailers...if i dnt get ny positiove response then i will chek with tht guy...i visit pune once a month and will b thr on 31st. so if i cudnt get it from mumbai i will try.

In my previous post, Androidos.in link says Flipkart has been spot on about the launch of phones. And when they are taking pre-orders at fixed price of Rs.27,000, it definitely tells you about their confidence of pricing, though you could questions them when they are gonna ship it to you.:)

The pre-order price is Rs. 27,499 and Flipkart as usual is offering Cash On Delivery for the device.

I've bought a few books from Flipkart and have found their service extremely good. A friend of mine was pretty happy with his experience of buying a mobile from this site.

I am tempted to pre-order the DHD from Flipkart. But then, I want to hold the DHD in my hand and get a feel of it before I finally decide to buy it, so I'll wait.
 
Just spoke to a retailer in Delhi and he informed that DHD was available with him at 28k with bill n warranty. Will believe it once I have seen it myself tomm. since the other HTC dealer did not have it with him yet...

you can believe these now bcoz retailers are getting the phones slowly and in 1-2 days all major retailers of HTC should be selling it
 
Just went to the retailer and confirmed this news. The DHD is infact available with him for 28k with bill n warranty.... Saw the box myself n its Made in Taiwan.Its Novelty Communication in C.R. Park, New Delhi.

Edit: Oh yea.. forgot to mention that will pick it up most probably tomm...

yeah thats wonderful...like I said its official now and slowly it will be available with retailers

My retailer in pune also promised to get one for me tomorrow, excited to have in in hand :)

I Cancelled my order from expansys.com and they refunded the currency back to my creditcard...which will get confirmed in 2 days...
They were giving me the BLACK color DHD..
What color is available in India ?
 
guys m unable to decide on which phone to go for.. HD7 or DHD.. DHD is more feature rich n all but HD7 is much smoother.. both the factors are important for me so i am confused like hell.. any help will be appreciated!! :)

check out the reviews on youtube...and comparisons between these 2 phones.
DHD beats iphone 4 hands down...so HD7 doesnt stand a chance against it.

DHD and HD7 have the same 4.3 inch display and resolution (have heard DHD has SLCD whereas HD7 has LCD but cannot confirm this), but there are some differences between them. The dimensions are nearly the same with the HD7 smaller than the DHD by a few millimeters and weighs 2 gm less than DHD.

1) DHD has 768 MB RAM to HD7's 576 MB
2) DHD has a 8 MP camera with face detection and Geotagging whereas HD7 has a 5 MP camera
3) HD7 has 16 GB built-in whereas DHD has 1.5 GB
4) HD7 has a kickstand whereas DHD does not (I hate that they gave the kickstand for the EVOG and HD7 but nor for the DHD ... :mad:)
5) DHD has huge customization options compared to HD7

Apart from such differences it finally comes down to the fact which software do you prefer, Android or WIN 7 ... :D

I would say if are not much of a customization junkie and want a familiar interface to your PC with excellent Windows compatibility go for HD7

If you want control over all aspects of your phone and really want to play around customizing with the ability to download loads of Apps go for the DHD
 
I wrote to Flipkart customer support asking them about Warranty, Colour, Preloaded maps and other charges to ship it to pune, here is what they answered;

I would like to inform you that the mobile HTC Desire HD has 1 year India warranty and valid in India. The phone comes only in one color and its in black. Our sources have not confirmed the releasing date. However, we expect the same to be released in the 5th week of December.

HTC is gonna go to the dogs with such customer care

Just now called to find out who are the reputed dealers or retailers of HTC in Hyderabad..
And all are adamant that DHD is only gonna be released in 2nd Week of February.
Even the Senior manager confirms this...
Wats wrong with them..!!

They say the ones available on flipkart.com is none of their business and they cant vouch for it...hahhahahaha
God save the HTCs Pathetic Outdated Ill-informed Oblivious Customer service centre.

Flipkart ppl know better..They say HTC gave them a go ahead...and their site would be updated by end of the day :)
They guarantee that its a Original HTC india ka DHD
They would replace the phone if it gets damaged or is defective
We shud get back to them in 7 days max if thats the claim...
Way to go Flipkart...!!!

If i order now and make a request they will try their very best to deliver it by Monday it seems to Hyderabad...MAx delivery allowance is 3 business days...which would make it wednesday max...

I called up local retailer...got his number on the famous Justdial....
Price quoted is 29500
He said Pay 3000 now sir...friday...evening..
And come tomorrow to pick up your phone by paying the rest...

Which one to opt for !!! :(
 
its officially available for sure now, but these few days the greedy retailers will try to make good profit with every piece :) so yeah I guess we have to be patience and pay only around 27.5K for it...speaking of patience , I am now too impatience :)

Me, at my impatient best, went finally to check out the DHD and pay him 3000 today so that i can get my piece tomorrow evening...
Guess waht...
The 29500 was for the grey market DHD
Omg it slashed down from 34000 to 29500 in 3 days time...
And he said for the Indian DHD pls come back on Monday...

Ufff
So the price will be around 27500 for Indian DHDs i guess...unless its grey market...which would stoop even lower as the indian edition releases...
And now Flipkart seems to be the best option but
cos of christmas and sundays....the order will only be delivered on wednesday-thursday it seems :( :( :(
I know waiting for monday till it comes to local retail shops is best idea bt then... :p
 
Guys just placed an order at flipkart... Just hoping they deliver in time.
I contacted several dealers in my city (chandigarh), Some were selling it for 30k, others had no idea if it has even been released in India yet.. Seems like Flipkart is the best deal around dis time...
