somebody gave you the wrong info. Just talked to them.. The only colour available with them is Mocha Brown..
I have copy pasted the reply I received (today morning) from Flipkart Customer support. I guess that was before they got the actual stock which they found was in Mocha Brown color ...
Ok! I am editing this post as 1 of the dealers came back saying they also have it available;
Digital World @ Sagar Arcade F.C Road --> Price 26,500/- ... Yes finally!!!!!!!!!!!
Going tomorrow to check the phone out.

did you called up the digital world store and confirmed ? bcoz sometimes back I called them up and they said they will get the stock in 1-2 days
Yep, they told the exact same thing some days back to me too, but now the guy told me I can see the phone and book it and will get the phone in 2 days. He was also pretty sure of the price when asked. I also asked him whether this was a grey market phone or an official HTC india release and he said its official HTC India release.
You can call him again and check what he says, its always better to confirm yourselves ...

Yes, the only reason I am excited because I will get to see the phone and feel it in my hand before buying. I have no intention of booking it now and I will be waiting some days more anyway before buying it.
The price he told me and the chance to see the phone (if possible play around with it) is what really interests me. I don't really care about stock availability.
Yea.. Novelty Communication in Delhi (C.R. Park) is selling it since yesterday at 27k-28k. Its even updated on the iGyaan website which also has their contact number. Went to them yesterday evening since its next to my place to check it out.
Had to go to pick it up today but got stuck in some work, so maybe over the weekend... till then using my Samsung Galaxy S...

I was using a Nokia E71 earlier n was quite happy wid it. Then 1 of my cuz got me a Samsung Captivate (US version of Galaxy S) which I've been using for a while now, but wanted to change to DHD.
Asked a mobile shop n they offered arnd 14-15k for SGS, but dont think wud be selling it. Someone from family will use it.
Btw, if someone had a choice to buy a SGS in 15k n DHD in 27k.. wud they still go for DHD?

guys m unable to decide on which phone to go for.. HD7 or DHD.. DHD is more feature rich n all but HD7 is much smoother.. both the factors are important for me so i am confused like hell.. any help will be appreciated!!

dude SGS for 15k is definately gonna be a used second hand mobile handset...and DHD in 27k a brand new piece so its a question of using a second hand vs brand new
I never use a second hand stuffs, but its personal choice
I am gonna sell my SGS and trade it for DHD

for ppl who is still confused with DHD and DH7...I must say that when you have decided to buy a smartphone and are willing to spend lots of bucks then the most imp stuff with smartphone is the operation system its using...HTC had made both DHD and DH7 almost similar hardware, lill megapixel better for DHD camera but hey you not gonna use any phone's camera as ur prime one its always be for casual shooting
again speaking of smartphone, we have iphone, blackberry, android and yeah nokia with its outdated symbian
so dont get confused with at least DHD and DH7, dont go by hardware its always software matters for smartphone trust me
if you have never used any windows mobile or android phone then try watching lots of review videos on both and see hows the user experience and flexibility and customization then check whts ur requirements...but again plsss dont take any decision with only screen processor, I mean dont look just the hardware,, software my frnd is the key to smartphone success and thats why android are picking up so fast
look at nokia...having the best hardware camera is 12 MP who can imagine a 12 MP in mobile of that size...I can gurantee if they had gone for android in N8, it would have been a hit

yup have synced it with htcsense... but its kinda weird.. HTC haven't seem to get it working fluently yet.. its still in some beta version i guess.. on some days it works like a charm.. on some i am able to use only a few features... and on others it won't work at all... its been quite long and i feel HTC should get it running fine soon.. as i see the sense is something many users all over are having a problem with... HTC might sell phones by marketing the sense.com now.. but if it does not work.. the next set of phones will just crash with people who like the sense.com.. don't get me wrong.. when it works it does the job pretty well.. but then it should work everyday.. shouldn't it??? HTC will fix that soon i hope...
n i feel ur right on money about the software stuff.. even about apple i feel the same.. its top notch hardware.. but when it comes to the IOS.. i just don't feel like even lookin at it with all the restrictions... same goes for the N8...
the HD7 has good hardware.. and the DHD's hardware is very comparable to it.. by no means less.. but when it comes to software.. Android is the best we have now... so DHD is a clear winner for me.. i would choose Android over Win-Mo anyday.....

sorry mate can't help you out with the speed and class of cards... 8gb is enough for me now so i'm still using the one given by HTC..
there are a couple of threads discussing the speed and capacity of cards here.. maybe that might help you.. of course they would be cards sold elsewhere and not in India.. but you can always find an India equivalent..
i even think asking HTC the same question might be good.. they failed us miserably with the release date.. but they might atleast know which cards their phone supports better

how come dhd doesn't have an amoled display? apart from it, does flipkart releases this phone with preloaded Indian navigation maps?
Earlier HTC phones like HTC Legend and earlier HTC Desires came with AMOLED displays, these used to be sourced by HTC from Samsung, but due to shortages and direct competition from Samsung they stopped using AMOLED's and switched to SLCD from Sony.

well my retailer here was suppose to get his shipment yesterday evening but due to christmas holidays his shipment is stuck in Pune Octroi which should get cleared by Monday, so have to wait some more.....
I have a 16GB microsd class 2 which I bought along with my galaxy s, I am gonna use that with DHD
