[RELEASED] The 4.3 inch "Thunderbolt" aka "Mecha" aka "Incredible HD" from HTC...beyond coming soon!

i think it was mention HTC was thinking mid year before a dual core device. So if you want an HTC with dual core then you have some time to wait. so if this is 1.5 ghz and upgraded screen resolution and lte this might still be a nice buy. just have to wait until CES and see

Are we sure this is not just an upgrade 1.0 Ghz processor? Is it really a 1.5 Ghz? I always prefer to get the latest technology, which is dual-core, but HTC Sense is the best Android skin on the market. If it is just an upgraded 1.0 Ghz processor, I'm leaning toward waiting for a phone with a dual core. If it is an upgraded 1.5 Ghz processor, than I will consider getting the HTC.

I am not stressing about it.. lol just saying if your going to put something on a pedestal of being a "dream" phone it would at least have the most advance tech. And nothing will far surpass a dual processor phone for quite sometime.

I was pretty surprised the nexus S didn't take the dual processor road actually.

As far as batt life goes, you personally may not have an issue, but it has been well documented that it is a larger scale issue, and you would think companies would want to take strides to make it better.

I will more then likely be getting this phone on release either way.. but with a single core snapdragon I would feel like it was not the upgrade it has been made out to be.

I concur with everything you said, but HTC Sense is simply the best skin, so this is a hard decision imo.

I know what your saying. Just for the sake of banter, I'm going to say that having the most advanced tech isn't going to qualify a device a "dream" for many. I totally crave the dual core, but I think that this device is the one that's going to hold me over for the next year or so, I'm ready.

That is sorta sad to hear.. again dual core is not a must, but it is a disappointment imo as some phones slated for release in January will be dual core. Did they say why they are waiting so long?

Someone's going to be first, everyone else is not. These things take time to get into production. I'll use my Dinc Otterbox as an example. It was quite a while after the release of the phone before the Otterbox was available. When I finally got it, on the inside, it says Patents Pending and Made in China....the company is in Boulder Colorado. I have no idea what kind of things had to happen from drawing board to my desk, but I wouldn't want to have to try to organize that circus.

I dont know anything for sure, just stating the rumors we have heard. I dont know what i will do either. something i have to decide still

Does anyone else feel if this phone is not dual core it will be a major disappointment?
not an issue for me. as long as its more that 1ghtz

also: wasnt it already explained that current android cant fully utilize hardware acceleration or dual cores? or was that just hardware acceleration?

NO, could they please hurry up and give us a larger screen NOW!!!! I don't get what the hold up is???? The second I get this one something better will come out. They always have something new in the pipeline so Verizon/HTC lets quit dragging you rear ends!!!!

Sarcasm?

Yea there's always something new, but it doesn't help if you do not use what is already being utilized by others. That means the technology is DOA instead of SOON to be dead. In other words, if this phone doesn't have a dual core, you're buying an already heavily outdated phone even on release day.

That's okay. I don't feel that particular need. Hasn't been an issue for me.

I don't feel that I have to be on the bleeding edge of every "Dream" only to wake the next morning to find that I've fallen behind. I'm just interested in possibly (quite) getting this phone when it comes out. I have other things in life to be majorly disappointed about. Don't need the stress. :)

If improvement in battery life hasn't been an issue for you, prepare to hate this phone, which will guaranteed only last you about 5 hours on a single charge with light use if it does not get a dual core to lighten the load. HTCs are notorious for battery life issues.

Saw that as well, but he has to be so vague IMO that I don't think of reposting his tweets. Fun to follow though.:)

You guys should.. he tweets so much its hard to go back after a day and find what is phone/device relevant.

Ummm nvm then.. But how much bigger do you want the screen.. 4.3 is really pretty damn big as is. Any bigger and you have a tablet..
personally for me 4.3 is the strict line for big enough. I would love a 4inch but i'm perfectly happy with sticking with HTC and taking 4.3

some people have said they dont mind the big size and would carry a 5-6 as a daily....I however do NOT haha. 4.3 is perfect, no complaints here

That's why we have seidio :) lol

i dont understand why so many people complain...its like do you not understand how electronics work!? just buy a bigger battery/monitor your use and stfuuuuu. LOL

If i hear 1 more person compare battery life to their old blackberry curve im going to shoot myself lol

pretty much the same here. I usually carry my phone in the first place now just cause it looks awkward in my pocket as is..
