Root overclocking

I've just started the whole rooting and fixing Verizon's mess they stick you with and have found a seemingly useful app, setCPU. I've read all the reviews for overclocking your phone. Seems to be a good increase in the processing speed for the continuum, but can't seem to find settings that are ideal for it. Any Help or ideas. New to the whole android and rooting experience so as simple terms as possible would be great.

I don't believe the continuum has any custom kernels or overclocked kernels yet...,i know people were working on clockwork recovery...,which is essential to flash kernels in the first place

There are no over clock kernels available yet, if there were I would know. I'm checking all the forums that have a continuum section and googleing it everyday. All you can do for now in underclock.
