Worth upgrading to Droid 1?

Hey i was just wondering if you guys would recommend upgrading from my droid eris to the motorola droid 1....lately ive been searching long and far for a nice used droid 1, with not much luck.

I like that the droid has a slide out physical keyboard, but do you think its really worth the switch? i just switched over to verizon a few months ago so i am no where near an upgrade.

Just looking for opinions, thanks.

its a great phone if you can get it for really cheap. I wouldn't bother with anything atm with the new stuff coming out.

it would onyl be worth it if you got it for 100 or Less. It is an onld phone and not worth much, but i suppose it is a much faster device than the eris. So if speed is what you are looking for and you find a good price, then go for it.

Only the D1 and Eris were available from Verizon when I got my Eris. I didn't care for the D1 then, I wouldn't want to have one now. But that's just my personal preference, yours can be different.

I recommend the Fascinate coming from the Eris. Minus the trackball, the Fascinate is like a bigger, more clear-screened, faster Eris, to me. ;)

I'm in agreement with Hoto on the D1, as that keyboard seems toy-like, although the size of the screen is nice.

The D2 would be better for keyboard quality.

I got a Droid 1 after using the Eris for a long time, and I couldn't be happier. Both are rooted, running Froyo, but the Droid overclocks to 1.1Ghz on a low voltage kernel, which gives not only blazing speed but very agreeable battery life (2 days easy on a stock battery with miles already on it). If you can get one, it's night and day over the Eris.

If you have the ability to get the INC I would say do it, if you love customization and custom roms and are cheap like me lol then D1 is the way to go.

+1

I have an incredible after owning an eris and it is like night and day... even a rooted and extremely overclocked eris cannot compare to a stock incredible :D
