Root no downloads in market today

My downloads not showing market today.

Am I the only one?

We'll leave it here b/c other people will invariably run int o the same problem at some time or another.

It should be noted that I only cleared data/cache for the market app.

Good note. I instinctively knew what you meant, but others may not.

Specifically, what he meant was to go to Settings --> Applications --> Manage Applications --> All tab --> Market and then press the Clear cache button.

If I install a new ROM will my paid apps still be available in the Market? I don't think they'll show up in the downloads list, but I'll still be able to download them... right?

If you use TB you can run market doctor and anything not showing will show, paid or free

TB = TitaniumBackup, right?

It is an app right? Can I install it *after* I do a wipe? I saw a right up in another thread about using it but it was very confusing.

Is it something I should use *before* I do a flash, then re-install TB right away and run it ? The thing is I just don't understand how TitaniumBackup works after reading some of the threads about it.

Your paid apps will show up and should automatically start downloading after you relink with your Gmail account in the initial setup.

That's what I thought had happened in the past.

Basically Titanium Backup should be used if I want to keep all my free apps and get them re-installed quickly?

Correct. Also TB will restore your app data which Google won't. App data would include things like what level you were at on a game. Your Google acct will just reinstall your app.
