PS3 Hack

I love what they are doing over on the gaming side as far to hacking and today i heard some has hacked the PS3 :eek: may i say well done to the person who did it and thanks for sony making it possible because i always think hackers would make great owners of tech companies out there as they dont seem to care what happens to the stuff as long as it works well hats off the hackers who made it possible for the next gen roms to be made :)

Well I hope that Sony fixes the issue. It will DEFINITELY lead to piracy, even if they're anti-piracy. If they're truly anti-piracy, then they wouldn't have announced it to the world that they hacked the PS3. Piracy isn't good except for the people who want to cheat their way to obtaining goods that others have worked and paid for. Theft.

I wonder if Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo can develop something where if the code is breached that the system can't play games anymore or the online functionality turns off.

very True in all you say but what if that one product you have does not do everything you want like have custom menus or play dvd from a region it cant currently play or you just like to experiment to make things not made before now you can with the help of a hacker and a few developers
