Root Apps2sd+ & LeeDroid 2.3c

Hi chaps,

Currently have LeeDroid 2.3c installed and have been using the apps2sd+ plus with no problem, untill now. Basically some times my phone grounds to a holt and I have to reboot to get it running normal and when everything is running I have noticed some of my apps have lost their settings I.e. 3g watch dog (resets to 0), score mobile forgets my settings, there are probably more but that's all I have noticed.

I am using a 16gb class 2 SD card which I assume is the reason for most of my problems, I have ordered a 16gb class 6.

Do you think the new card will fix the above problems.

Also letting the apps2sd+ do its thing why does the internal memory still drop, think I have around 32mb left, however to be fair I have installed loads of apps so can't be to greedy.

And finally, when i get my new sdcard is it just a case of formatting it correctly I.e.ext3,fat32 and then load everything back from my titanium back up.

Thanks again

so i now know what to do when I get my new sd card I.e. reformat etc, like I said in my original post.

Any ideas about my other questions?

App Data is still stored on the internal memory.

Copy everything from your SD card to your PC.

Then once you have set up your new SD card, paste the contents onto it.

Thanks John B.

Any one have any ideas about the slow down, sd class 2 or the loss of data on start up.

Cheers

All I can say is that I'm running LeeDroid with a 16mb class 4 card and a2sd+ and have no problems apart from slowdown when installing apps. Maybe formatting your old card again may help but a faster one will be better anyway.

Ps 2.3d seems to be quicker

Thanks GrenW.

Just been reading up on the 2.3d and looks good. Will update to that when I get my new sdcard. However over xda it looks like some people are having probs with how the battery is reporting % used. Have you had any probs like this?

Well since the FAQ answers this:

Also letting the apps2sd+ do its thing why does the internal memory still drop, think I have around 32mb left, however to be fair I have installed loads of apps so can't be to greedy.

And this:

And finally, when i get my new sdcard is it just a case of formatting it correctly I.e.ext3,fat32 and then load everything back from my titanium back up.

No need to thank me for that, even though you thanked everyone else. How Rude? ;)

The only question I didn't answer is this:

some of my apps have lost their settings I.e. 3g watch dog (resets to 0), score mobile forgets my settings, there are probably more but that's all I have noticed.

I am using a 16gb class 2 SD card which I assume is the reason for most of my problems, I have ordered a 16gb class 6.

It could do. If you are using Ext2 or 3, I recommend trying 4.

In speed terms, this is the order

ext3, ext2, ext 4

In data resilience terms,

ext2, ext3, ext 4.

So if the rom supports EXT4, use it.

Only flashed it this time yesterday from 2.3c but no problems so far. Seen the posts on xda which seem to be caused by re-calibration. Never done mine. Ever.

That's more like the answer I was expecting from you danfrance, thanks :)

And tbh I have read your guide I just like to double check what I am thinking is correct.

And you got a thx ;)

Me been thick or what but I can't see the memory problem in your guide. However after reading up it appears some app data stays on the internal no matter what.

Oh well, wait for my new sd card, install 2.3d and all will be good.

Oh sorry, you're right. Its in the thread but not in the OP. I will edit it now ;)
