[App help] Icons

I found a few guides that show how to change icons. Is there an app that allows you to select and change app icons? Kinda like how LauncherPro lets you change the dock icons? Thanks in advance

Something like Folder organizer will do it, in addition to dozens of other apps on the market. A lot of different people will recommend different apps. If you are actually using Launcherpro, though, it already supports this. Just long press on the screen, select shortcut, then Applications. Choose whatever app you want, and the last thing you will be prompted for before it creates the shortcut is to change the icon.

Nope, there is no way of changing the icon in the app drawer. That would require changes from the launcher, which launcher pro can't do. I can't speak for other launchers. There might some out there that can. Switching launchers to change the icon, though, is a bit drastic :).
 
i have had the pro version of lp for months..and don't know that I ever realized that it did this :P
 
Lol, it's one of those nested features that you only really know about if you read up on the change logs. I've had funny realizations with other things like that, though.
 
Wow I didn't know you could do that either! Interesting . . . however what Icon pacs do people recommend? I'm looking for some "oceany" themes :)
 
You can use desktop visualizer to set any icon file to any app too. The combination of LP Plus and desktop visualizer allows you to do just about anything to your desktops you want visually....
 
so I have launcher pro and the pro plus. But, it doesn't show up in my app drawer. It does show up when I open All Programs or Titanium. I have even gone into Titanium and clicked on Restore but it doesn't show up. So, I cannot play with settings in LP. now, if I hit the home button, or other things it will pop up and ask if it wants to be the default (if I do a reset). I know it is there and working, it is just frustrating that I cannot get into it and change settings. Thoughts about how to make LP show up for me?

Now can you help me with why Barcode Scanner disappears from my apps list?
I have to go into Titanium and restore each time before I use it. I have unistalled and reinstalled . . .
 
Well, after successfully managing LP I found out why barcode scanner kept disappearing. It was checked under "hide apps in app drawer."
Easy answer too.

Sure, enjoy LauncherPro to the fullest. Considered by many to be the best home screen replacement app.
