Help HTC Music App Keeps Crashing

Lurker
The Music App for my HTC Droid Incredible keeps crashing even though I am not trying to open it.

The error message I receive reads as follows: "Sorry! The application Music (process com.htc.music) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Any thoughts?

What are you using to sync your HTC Droid Incredible? Are you just dragging and dropping your files with the phone mounted? Each time I attempted to manage files that I manually synced to the phone it would give me the same message you are receiving. I cleared out my music folder and stared to sync with Doubletwist and everything is now copacetic.

I had this same problem. Here's how I fixed it.

Go into Settings > Applications > Manage Applications
Scroll down the Music App (HTC Corporation)
Tap "Clear Data"

This wipes out the stored data and restores the music app to it's default settings. This worked for me.

Sweet thanks, that worked.

Anyone know how to do that one the HTC inspire? When i got to manage apps it say there are no files in the app and will only force close.
