Root How do I add a wallpaper

seems like a stupid question but I find nice wallpapers I want, I put them in my gallery folder go to use a image and it makes me rescale it. I guess what I am asking is can you take a image and add it to the phones wallpaper folder?

Get Wallpaper Set and Save from the Market. It doesn't force you to pick a part of the image for your wallpaper; it scales the entire image down to fit your screen.

that's normal.... just pick the size and save it and becomes your wallpaper
When I go to the image I want i click set as wallpaper, I do not want to resize the image I want the complete image, can I copy from my SD card and transfer it to my wallpapers that are preset in the phon and how do I find where they are?

Maybe I'm missing something, but you guys know you can choose set wallpaper, then when it shows the picture with a small square in it, you can drag the square to make it bigger and cover the whole picture?

hey gummy, if I'm not mistaken the wallpapers are actually located inside an apk. For example, on Liberty, the wallpapers that show up under the Liberty Wallpaper menu are located inside of the LibertyWallpaper.apk under system/app

hope this helps.

There is a filder named "dcim" on the root of your sd card. Just make a new folder inside "dcim" and it'll pop up in gallery
