Jus update my phone.

Just got an update info in my notice field so i updated, now im on:
2.1 update1
baseband: 2.0.49
kernel:2.6.29

Is it something new that comes with this update?

I'm not sure. My phone keeps saying I have a software update, but then it says it cannot install it halfway through. My phone is rooted with a custom ROm though.

got the same situation. i'm on 2.1 (non-root) and update last night but can't quite see the difference

I'm on generic 2.1 (the first version) with JITv2 and it downloads, installs, restarts - then afterthe restart it says software could not be updated (it's an 8mb download).

Some people have reported getting software update notifications, that are pointless, and do nothing. Don't worry about it

I have also been getting the update failed on reboot, It downloads a 8mb file and then starts the install process then after a few flashes it starts the phone up saying it was unable to install. Not sure what this update is supposed to do but I cannot get it.
