Update reviews?

Just wondering if anyone has updated to Froyo yet. Was wondering if its woth the wait, been hearing it lags alot. Any reviews?

The update isn't as extraordinary as some may think. I updated early, several hours after it's release on Samsung Kies Mini. First thing I did was run a Quadrant score before even importing contacts from my G services. The score was less than impressive. I ran daily test on my rooted 2.1 with OCLF2.0 running with scores peaking at 2500. The 750(something) that I got from the Froyo update was less than impressive.

I have since rooted using SuperOneClick since Z4Root method doesn't work on the Froyo build. I have also tried the OCLF 2.0 which failed, but then it ran faster. Not really sure if the LagFix worked, and it's currently telling me I cannot un-do LagFix or retry.

Either way, Froyo build isn't that impressive as far as speed. However, I haven't noticed any lag issues at all after rooting and running (maybe) the lagfix.

I have been happy and my stock vibrant is more snappy. I would download the gingerbread keyboard by Steve Lin...it is awesome.

Quadrant scores are useless. My Archos A70 running Froyo Scores a 1490 and when I ran it on my Vibrant running JK6 it was in the 800's yet I know for a fact that the same aps load faster on Vibrant and the framerate of the video test is twice as fast on the Vibrant.

i downloaded Froyo this past Saturday while talking to a tech support rep at Tmo and all went well. I noticed cool things like the copy and paste feature on the Nexus S is now on my phone. I have found out several issues with update:
1- only 2 keyboards now show instead of 3, which means i will need to download the new gingerbread keyboard from the market
2-the keyboard makes clicking noise when i use it
3- the gps constantly on when using the camera and it is annoying to always turn it off before taking a picture.
4-There is a firmware update in the camera: camera->settings->click on the wrench then go down the list and you will see firmware update. i click on it and nothing happens.
5-the avatar movie does not play and i tmobile told me to do a factory reset (oh no I don't want to lose everything i have on my phone and start all over again). My other videos and the avatar trailer work.
So, can someone here tell me what to do or share their experience after they updated to 2.2 from tmobile?
How do i stop the clicking sound on the keyboard? How do i bring the Avatar movie back?

I did it today, worked like a charm on mine. I did do the factory reset and my digital rights work. It was tough having to rebuild after the reset, but I think it was worth the effort.

Now, last evening while I wasnt home my son tried to do his and it bricked the phone. He called T Mob and the are shipping a replacement no charge. Soooo, with nothing to lose I played with it. Both these are stock phones, but I have been reading about rooting and so it was a grand experiment. I was able with ODIN to get 2.1 back and then using Kies was able to upgrade it. It is back a 100%. Hopefully we can cancel the replacement shipment. His phone is in great shape and has ghost armor on it so he does not want a new phone if he can avoid it.

So, Kies seems to work but in at least one case bombed. Was 2.2 worth doing, absolutely. We both really like it. The tethering options are great, now I can connect my wifi iPad to the Internet. It has not been long enough to comment on battery life, but the phone is snappier and the features, while not ground breaking, are a nice improvement.
