Help Qik video chat

So I just went and got my wife an Evo. I was trying to test out the video chat through Qik, and I cannot get it to work. It just says connecting then eventually goes back to the Qik home screen. Is there something I'm not doing?

I did make her a log-in so she is also signed in to Qik.

Do you both have qik accounts? Is qik running on both phones?Are you on wifi or 3g or 4g?

Yes. I made her an account. We are both signed in. We are both on our WiFi connection.

Go to settings-->applications-->manage applications-->find Qik and uninstall updates (if you've updated from the market). Wait for the uninstall to complete, then open the old version of Qik and login. It should work. Then go to the market and update Qik to the new version. You should now be able to login.

Finally got Qik video to work, but the sound is very spotty. Any ideas on how to fix the sound?

My sound is spotty and and the picture freezes and disappears a lot. Cant find a way to fix it. It's pretty useless as bad as it is. Anyone have any ideas on how to make it run smooth. I'm connecting over Wifi. Does anyone have a nice a smooth connection?
