leaving sprint to get the motorola atrix

Hello I have a question to ask I currently have the Evo from sprint I do love there $69.99 unlimited plan but this phone looks pretty sick,so should I switch to get this or should I stay with sprint? Oh should I mention I don't get 4g in my area.
 
i read a document from work (i work for AT*T) saying that 98% of people who can get AT&T 3g in their area will get HSPA+ 4g.

if the cost/coverage/data plans make sense for you do it!

sprints presentation was pretty disappointing at CES...hopefully they play catch up at MWC
 
At&t all the way. They get way better sercive than sprint and no way will they ever get as cool as phones as at&t or the atrix!!
 
I currently have att and the service is horrible where i'm at! I'm trying sprints 30 day free trial thing, the evo is sweet but the battery is just so bad. I'm really wondering though if the atrix battery will be any better, especially with that dual core processor. Thoughts?

The EVO has a 1500mAh battery and the Atrix has a 1930mAh battery. Also I think that since the display is the biggest draw on the battery the bigger screen on the EVO is a big cause of poor battery life. Also dual core processors are supposed to save battery life because two cores are more efficient than a single core would be doing the same task.
 
Very true, I just read on yahoo news though that the atrix has overheating problems while being tested. They also said even in standby you'll be lucky to get 9 hours out of it. The last part I think is a little excessive but who knows until real world experience is out there.

Keep in mind that the EVO has 4G WiMax on the 2.5 GHz band. It's an early chipset and on a difficult band, so it uses an enormous amount of power. The "4G" on the Atrix is 3G HSPA+ on the normal 850/1900 bands, so it won't have that additional burden.

The dual core processors on the Atrix will actually be a battery saver. They can be dialed down to lower clock speeds and still provide the same experience.

Also, the screen on the Atrix is a newer technology...RGBW...which allows better brightness at lower power levels.

I'm not saying that the Atrix is going to have miracle battery life, but I'm willing to bet it's going to be a LOT better than the EVO.

PS: The PMU/overheating problem has already been debunked. Nothing to worry about there.
