March 6th Release - Feb 13th pre-sale.

I still think AT&T sees Atrix as a device targeting business users. Note the line in the article about offering Blackberry-like subsidized pricing on the phone (and presumably dock) to corporate customers.

AS i said in Atrix.

I have been a buisness traveler 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year...for 10 years.

NO WAY IN HELL, an experienced buisness travelor leaves home with this. He/she takes the most powerful fully functional lap top and the best phone he can take. Period.

He does NOT hamstring his functionality with this, nor does he waste valuable suitcase/lap top bag realestate with something thats "1/3 a computer" when he could just carry the real thing.

Yep Nail in the coffin.

Thanks for the info Guys, see you around the next Big Technological breakthrough.

This part is wrong. Marc has already stated in Atrix there will not be an additional teethering plan for use with the lap top doc?

Am i missing something?

yuck what is att doing to this phone?

I think there IS a market for this. With a lower price of around $100 this would be an awesome device for a 10 to 18 year old or struggling first job living in an apartment type of person.

good. i can buy the inspire and return it with in 30 days for the atrix.

the problem is inspire releases on 2/13, atrix pre-order on 2/13. if you bought inspire, i dont think they let you pre-order atrix?
i rather have inspire huge 4.3" screen, but atrix latest ad said "surf web 2X faster"?....
why do att always getting garbage phones??
if i want 4.3" screen, i lose the dual core. if i want dual core, i lose the 4.3" screen!
on verizon, i can have both, 4.3 screen and dual core on a single phone, Bionic !

Look at the key facts:

"Motorola ATRIX 4G is expected to be available from AT&T and select retail channels for customers by March 6 or earlier."

That says "or earlier". I just got an email from a retailer saying that AT&T has confirmed a Feb 14th launch.(which is not a Sunday though)

They might be referring to the pre-order date

so far everything points to charging at night for the inspire so if i can get 12 hours im good also big difference between mytouch4G and inspire is inspire has sense 2.0 the only phone in US with it right now

Don't understand me wrong I am sure the inspire is a great phone especially for AT&T; it is just nothing that really wows me....it's like the Nexus S....didn't wow me either...when I get a new phone I want that it is better than the phone I had before. I had the MT4G and the inspire wouldn't be a big change, so not worth for me.

$500? That is obscene since we know there is no on-board computing power or storage. I really don't know what they are thinking, I am really thinking about not getting the Atrix at this point. I mean 75% of the reason I wanted it was for the laptop dock, but if they expect me to pay $500 for a battery pack, keyboard, and LCD, with a plastic housing they are sorely mistaken. Even $500 for the bundle is outrageous, I paid that much for my unsubsidized Motorola Milestone, and they want me to pay that price for a subsidized phone. I'll take screw you AT&T for $500 Alex(Jeopardy reference).

I think there's been made a mistake, according to the atricle the stand-alone Laptop Dock costs the same as a Laptop Dock + Atrix 4G...

AT&T will offer bundled pricing of $499.99 for the smartphone and the Motorola laptop dock. Separately, the laptop is $499.99.

yea bro the actual press release from AT&T says tethering required for laptop dock

im thinking you dont need the tethering plan if you want to buy the laptop standalone for $500.

if you want the "bundle deal" of phone+laptop for $500...then you DO need to purchase the tethering plan.

Maybe the $150/$150 price on amazon is indicative of a $299 package price, and the dock alone would be more.

If the laptop dock is priced @ $499, then I would hate to see what the multimedia dock is priced at. Probably $150

from the PR:
"AT&T is also offering an Entertainment Access Kit for ATRIX customers which includes the Motorola HD Multimedia Dock, a Bluetooth

I need to hear this in an AT&T press release. This is a little crazy but I still might get it if the phone and laptop dock will be $500. Hell some people were talking about paying full price for the phone which would have probably been the same price or more. Sucks for the people who have to pay full price if they want the laptop dock.

So, the stand-alone Laptop Dock costs the same as an "Atrix 4G + Laptop Dock bundle"? Don't think so :) Obviously, the person who wrote that article made a mistake.
