Root Liberty 1.5 is here - get in here

Sweet! I think after I am done playing around with a bit I will change the theme up a bit, call it Amazingly Reverse-Engineered, and call it my own ROM!

took me about six months to root...... then about a month to flash the first rom - ApeX 1.3.1 - now about a week to want to try this. Is that progress or regression?
Once again, I'll ask ,how does anyone get any "work" done? I spend all my time playing with my phone or reading androidforums.com!

Your a bit late to the party, another one is starting soon.

So far so good. The only thing I've noticed is the ad-blocking is not blocking everything, weird.

I downloaded adfree android which got most of it. The only thing I notice an add on now is the appbrain app. Weird. Anyone else experiencing that?

Battery life seems a bit better, and I see the battery manager appears to be fixed!

Im still running the Liberty theme. May go to Gingerbread or try Gingerbread blue at some point. But for some reason I've grown fond of the stock yellow theme!

Thanks to jrummy and kejar31!!

Only issue I have is when I select different battery icons from the toolbox and the phone reboots nothing changes. Can't figure it out as everything else installs from the toolbox just fine.

So does anyone have a place I can just download the battery icons, specifically the white circle one that is metered. Thanks

Make sure you have the updated toolbox. I made that mistake

Oh, now that is just to sweet. I like being able to preview those themes without even having to download and put them on the phone. Too cool! Is there a way to get the Black, White, and Chrome theme added into the Liberty themes to where it will preview and install from the toolbox? Do I just copy it to the Liberty themes directory?

Now, my next question. I got really, really, use to the keyboard in DarkSlide 4.2, and I do not like the standard keyboard in Liberty 1.5. Is there another keyboard that is close to the DarkSlide one?

Anyone have problems loading the blur alarm clock. I've tried several times and the install keeps getting aborted.

I am assuming that this mod retains the vanilla android phone.apk? ...the one that doesn't work well in landscape mode?

I have Liberty 1.0 installed and the dialer is the only thing about it that I can't stand.

I have Dialer One from the Market, but I can't get it to be the default dialer when I am in Contacts, and click to call someone...it wants to use the android dialer.

Is there anyone out there that actually PREFERS the Android dialer???? I just can't imagine!

Thanks!
Kevro

No you wont be able to do that with black white and chrome. The onlythemes that applies to are the ones jrummy took a screencap of and put in the app.

Well I gotta say it. I've been a hardcore supporter of ApeX for quite some time now... I've put it onto 5 of my friends phones already too lol. But I'm really impressed with liberty. This is an extreamly fast rom. Very well put together! I'm still very new to it and figuring it all out but so far its an amazing rom. Congrats to keljar and jrummy and thank you both for all your hard work!

Did you get your twitter working??

Did you get your twitter working??

Yeah I did thanks. Idk if it was associated with the theme (red gingerbread from the toolbox) or what. I wound up completely wiping and reinstalling liberty then reinstalling twitter and it worked perfectly.
The one thing I wasn't/am not sure about is when I installed apex (everytime) ALL of my apps automatically reinstalled, that isn't happening with liberty. Not a huge deal really since now we have the web based market keeping track like appbrain does, I can just look there to see what I'm missing.

Something I just noticed and replicated. Get vm. Hit the clear button in the notification drop down. It clears all messages etc including voice mail. Never had that happen before until this ROM and version. Did something change. Is there a setting to correct that?

Looks like I'm bootlooping after install, not sure why. I flashed back to my stock nandroid, then ran the maderstock.zip to get to stock .340, installed z4root and bootstrap and backed up stock .340. Rebooted and all was fine. Went back into bootstrap recovery and installed Liberty 1.5, now bootlooping. The Eagle keeps spinning around. Pretty sure I did all the steps right

did you wipe? instructions say to wipe data

Honestly I wiped every single step of the way just to be anal about it, but I can't actually remember if I wiped right before I installed 1.5. I can go into stock recovery and just wipe that way right?
