[RELEASED] The 4.3 inch "Thunderbolt" aka "Mecha" aka "Incredible HD" from HTC...beyond coming soon!

So what's up with this best buy ordering??? Verizon doesn't want to be bothered with the Thunderbolt because they are spending all their resources on the ephone???

I was originally considering getting an iPhone on a one year contract, selling it on eBay and sticking with my Incredible for another 10 months and spending that extra cash on a XOOM, but apparently they have not announced whether there will be an option for one year contracts with the iPhone. If this plan doesn't pan out I might just have ;) to get the ThunderBolt.

This all depends on pricing though, as I've heard $249 on a two year contract, $329 on a one year contract. I have no problem with those prices as long as the rumored $29 unlimited 3G + 4G LTE plan comes true. I'm wondering though, if I sign a one year contract and 10 months from now the plans change or cost more, is there any way I can get grandfathered into that plan and still upgrade to a new phone? What if I sold the ThunderBolt and bought a new LTE phone off contract from Verizon or elsewhere and activated it on that same line will I lose the plan and be forced into the new plan even if I didn't go through Verizon?

From my understanding, as long as the new phone is compatible with your existing data plan you will be fine. So for example, if you have a data plan for a feature phone and upgrade to a smart phone then you would have to change data plans. Again, this is from past experience with Sprint and AT&T. I am pretty sure Verizon is the same way.

So with the best buy thing, its just another outlet to get a phone right?

Can i buy a phone at best buy while on my original verizon account?

Yes , it's pretty much the same as buying from Verizon for the most part and they give you the rebate instantly instead of having to mail it in... A couple friends just bough Evos thru Best Buy Mobile I was with one of them and they had great expierences

^ damn...me too. might have to wait for verizon.

I'd imagine Verizon would release it the same day as BB . But we shall see, I'll probably just pre order it when that becomes available I actually got my Incredible a fewdays early when I did that . I just hate doing rebates which is why I don't go into the Verizon stores for phones, I almost always will forget to send it in

All. I am in same boat and tried to get my dinc there and they said no. May have changed. In any case Id rather get there so I can bill to corporate and swap lines. Seems bb could screw it up. Plus with discount on accessories I will get a battery and hopefully they come out with some kind of charging stand.

A buddy of mine is getting the iPhone. Im of course getting the TB..just wondering if anyone knows if we can both use the Skype video chat?

Maybe not at first, but once Skype has finalized their Android app for video chat you sure will! Not sure if they have finalized their iOS app for video yet...

I read that like its still coming on the 14th but something could always change since Verizon hasn't officially announced anything.
