Best / Favorite Apps for the Shift

Astro File Manager is the app I've been using for file management but I'd love to know about something that is actually better or equal and also free.. any opinions?

And Thanks for the Phandroid app tip!!

I like EStrongs file manager also - and for ftp speed, I've yet to find the equal to AndFTP. There's a guy in another forum that swears something magically superior to either Astro or EStrongs, but naturally, I forgot to bookmark it. I'll post back on it if I can find it.

Gmote - This is awesome if you have a setup similar to me (home pc connected via HDMI to HDTV), I use this app when sitting on the couch watching Hulu, I use it to move the mouse around and search, etc. It's pretty cool for that. The playing files function is only ok, but I love that I can use my phone as a touchpad mouse for my computer!

Estrong is good too but if you are looking for image files it does not display the image in thumbnails you have to open it one by one.

Edit: ooops just a setting issue ... my bad ;)

I have used Estrong it's a good file manager but It didn't grew up on me cause of some features I don't exactly remember which ones now lol..

I found out just the other day how much fun the emulators are for the Shift. They all run smooth and pecise. I am addicted to mario 3 on the game boy emulator

SwiFTP - no more plugging in to the computer. Now the Shift is a WiFi network resource for photo uploads and music downloads by drag and drop.

No more "preparing SD card" - slower than USB but for the convenience, who cares?

Store Finder - Android

Store finder was a nice April I used it a lot on my hero . Don't know why it got pulled off the market. It was faster than using maps. Fast food finder also got pulled . Just wondering I think it had something todo with a Google update.
