Ok time to go to BB. I figure I'm going to preorder if and if Verizon decides to give something out tonight on it and gives me the opportunity to get a 1 year contract through them on the same day release that BB offers then I will just cancel the preorder at BB and just have a $50 gift card. That $50 gift card can pay for my next video game I want coming in March.

Just spoke to a CS Rep on the phone who said they were supposed to go through training and should find out the release date and all the info today...
 
Ok. Just got back from BB at Fields Ertel. (I'm in Maineville guys - eerie. And yes, the same exit). I was the first one. Not going to be a problem. $50 gift card that costs you nothing if you decide to go a different route.

He showed me the "employee info screen" and it has a release date of the 14th. It did however say "subject to change". So, they know what we already knew. No information on the price of the plan or the phone but he quoted what we already knew there as well ($250 - two year).

On a plus, they are doing their buyback plan on these phones. It's free for only a week but expects it to be extended to this cell phone. It's not a bad deal because it puts in a good position after the first 10 months like the 1 year plan. The cost basis of the phone is of the RETAIL price not the purchase price. Not a bad deal.

edit: FYI: Costco gas is $2.95!
 
What is the benefit for pre-ordering? I cant see this phone selling out (although I might be wrong) the day it releases. If you pre-order now and it does come out on the 14th then isnt it just the same as someone walking in at the same time as you but you pay $200 + ur gift card ($50) and the other person pays the same thing ($250) without pre-ordering?

Just trying to see if its worth driving to my best buy because it is not around the corner. (over 45 min). Also if it releases the same day to VZW which im thinking it should one is about 4min away.

depends on who you ask. those of us who have had our x's for a while will. i am tired of motorola's crap including the loose headphone jack issues. not to mention that i am using a stock rom with stock voltage and am having maddening reboot issues.
 
I just got back from Best Buy. I preordered the TB for $50 down. The one employee said that the price would be $200 while another said $250. All of them said it would be released on the 14th.

yeah from what I saw on the Best buy computer screen this morning when I preordered my, they had 249.99 but no price for off contract, thats how I`m buying mine, so we will have to wait for that price.

My wife teaches in the Little Miami School district.

On other news, I can't preorder from bb because I am a corporate account. Work phone. However, I have a dinc for my personal phone that is eligible at the end of the month.

Work at WPAFB. Gonna wait til verizon has it. Want to ensure I get my last NE2. my Dinc is working fine right now. I can wait. Although I do have 3 cases and screen protector already in my possession.

So I went to Best Buy to pre-order my Tbolt and when I got up to the Mobile Sales dept. I asked, "Can I order a Tbolt?"
And he says, "uhh, I don't think we are doing pre-orders just yet"
I tell him that the Sunday ad said that I can preorder them. He asks to see it, so I show him and it clearly says "pre-order". To which he replies "uuuhm, yeeeeaaah... I don't know anything about a presale. They've never told us anything about that."

This bugs me.

that is odd; i went to BB this afternoon and they said they didnt have the paper work because no one had preordered. they got the info and im signed up! hoping for the 14th! been 3 yrs for an upgrade
