is anyone using any kernals or batt tweaks with this rom and is it really making any difference and what differences did you notice if so, thanks just wondering

I'm using Deca's battery tweak and have seen an increase of battery life. The Collin twelve would work just as good.

Those of you on the build and the previous one, I would like to know what your internal memory is, and on stock only, meaning not using Firerats

Incase you are wondering why see the C&P

well sort of, what happens is because the 2 newest RLS's are deodex'd you have less room in the internal memory because the classes.dex are loaded into your dalvik cache, on the earlier ones your system partition was larger because odexing pulls them out of the .apk's and stores them on the system, creating more room on the data partition, yes its perfectly normal. What being deodex'd means is it also able to be themed. if you did want that space back im sure there is an odex script around here somewhere you could run

my internal memory is at 67mb/190mb available/total

is there a way to increase that without using firerat and if not can someone give me the easiest way to install firerat mod step by step, please lol :D

You can delete apps/files on the phone with either Root Explorer or manually via terminal/adb on the computer. Safe things to remove would include CM Wallpapers, ROM Manager, etc. Things that are extras on the phone. Make a backup just in case you need to restore :)

Im currently at 51mb free, but I flashed the current 2/6 build over my old build. I only wiped the dalvik cache before install as well. I do not have any custom kernel or firerat mod installed though. It is stock CM GB, just loaded up with my apps. :) BTW, I am loving the new build. It is running smooth as butter, and it looks like the weird international roaming thing is gone from this one as well. I love my Hero with 2.3. :D

EDIT: Nevermind, it still has the weird international roaming thing after all.

I'll be loading the newest version tomorrow morning. Seems like it's still going good -- still on two prior releases :( lol

Umm this is interesting, curious what you be causing this issue, I would post that issue over @ XDA to see what they say there

The reason why I originally asked was because mine is @ 33MB's but they say it is normal because it is deodexed and not odexed script, so we will see down the road, but I am still curious why some of us are are much lower than others

running the latest version I am sitting on 129mb free

Using the fire rat mod would be the only way I know of only because I have no other knowledge of how to repartition the internal memory. The way I done it was just make the mtdpartmap.txt I used 130 2 then go to recovery done a full wipe then flash the recovery.zip (if I'm not mistaken the only time you flash the recovery.zip is when you actually flash a new recovery image) then the rom, gapps, kernel, whatever ya got then the boot.zip and reboot the system. I never did use adb to restart recovery

I've moved damn near everything to the sd card, and haven't put music on mine

With the firerat mod I've got 262/328 with nothing on my sd card. Before I done the firerat mod I had barely 40mb with just about everything on the sd card and with the mod it seems like it moves a little faster but that could also be the collins tweak at work too. But I like the firerat mid cuz more I can actually store what I want on my 4g sd card like music or backup apks and anything else I download without making the decision every couple of days what I really want keep our delete

just out of curiosity, how is everyone's signal with this Rom, ever since i changed to GB my signal has been weak and getting two bars at the most when I'm home and sometimes it even gets down to no bars at all and I'm wondering if anyone else is getting this same issue

What radio version are you on ??

I've never noticed an improvement switching from the .27 to .29 radio if anything I'd say .29 had a harder time getting a signal

sure it's different for everyone though
