[ROM] aospCMod | AOSP 2.3.4 / CM7 (Gingerbread) [05/23/11]

So, what's new with 2/9? I just did the 2/6 and I kinda don't want to redecorate my phone.

so, if there's no major changes, I'll just keep this one until I decide to not be lazy.

Edit: I was wondering what voicemail you were using for this?
 
I use Youmail but most use Googlevoice

1. What does being Sync'd with CM source do? Is it something that will help the developers fixing bugs or something else? I mean its not a big deal id like to have a way to send little bugs that pop up during the day to the developers just to help them make an awsome rom. (EDIT: TOTALLY AWSOME ROM!!) or even if there was something that acted like a black box and told them what i was doing the few seconds before something crashed on the phone and why it crashed. even if i had to upload a file everyday.

2. well when i first flashed the 2/5 build i had the CRT Animations well i rebooted and then they were gone. I have been through soooo many settings and cant find out how to turn them back on. Its nothing thats going to kill me i just thought "wow thats a pretty damned cool animation" then i was like wtf its gone.

Same happened to me on 2/5. Saw the crt once, then they went away. With 2/6 they stayed. I can't speak to 2/9 yet.

Easy for flashing roms or after wiping data
 
I flashed the ROM right over the 2/6 release without wiping and everything seems fine. Make a Nandroid just in case since results may vary :)
 
Any reason not to update from 9.9.9.2?

Any bugs or issues with anything other than the native wireless tether (which isnt an issue). I am reading through this thread and some people think its slower, some think its faster, and some report worse battery life...

Can I get an amen?

I'm not using the Hero but no troubles with the market for me, just flashed a new rom and no troubles downloading from the market
 
Can someone tell me if there is a sprint vvm bug the last 2 gb roms flashed and it won't let any of them download I had to do it the "old school" method. Could it just be me using an old version? V5.1.0.30 is what I am using.
 
Yes I will give you one reason why you should update, called Nandroid, if you don't like it simply restore back, simple and easy, this way you can put to rest what others have to say and see for yourself.

Save yourself a headache and use GoogleVoice or Youmail, then you can flash as many times as you want and never have to worry about setting your VM up again

I tried google talk and it have me a messed up code to call I will try it again see our just try youmail.

One more thing I'm still getting a fc when I go to cm settings and them performance and try to get to the cpu settings. I'm still using the decca 768 kernel and collins. Could collins be interfering with it since it controls the cpu?
 
Ok well then I will try something lol honestly I don't know what I did now so I will look into it thanks for pointing that out
 
Alright I hot both on my phone youmail and google voice when either of them haver me call *289095106169 or *283049974664 it connects and says the feature code you entered is incorrect and I cannot find any help on the google voice help center amount else have or had the same problem and get it fixed?

Go to Google Voice . com
You need to set it up online before you can set it up on your phone.
 
andy said i should install 2.3. is this the best thread on flashing this? just want the best before i flash it to my hero. i'm still on 2.2.3
