Just got the phone a few hours ago from radio shack and i'm loving it so far. Does anyone know how to close out open apps. I can bring up the task manager by holding the home button and it pops up, but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out to close apps. Long presses don't seem to do anything. Thanks in advance for future replies.
if you hold the EN/Mic button it will bring up the speak to text option. Im not sure if theres an easier way to do this.
Ditto, nothing better than pulling up running services and seeing the crap ATT loaded in there sucking away at your battery
Why in the world is there no Japanese IME on Android? It can read and display Japanese just fine, however there are not IME keyboards/languages for it.... I tried a couple IME apps, but they never worked right, I don't think they are compatible with 2.2 or the phone.

I've got a couple help questions. First, has anyone tried to get the in-line headphone controls to work when playing music? I read on the Desire forums that this was a problem with the Desire, and I didn't know if it was fixed. I tried using my iPhone headphones but the in-line controls didn't work. I didn't know if it had to do with headphone compatability or if it was phone functionality. Second, my car has a factory USB connection to integrate into the stereo (it's a 2010 Nissan Maxima). The connection worked fine with my iPhone 4, but I can't get it to work with the Inspire. I tried mounting as mass storage, but the stereo doesn't reconginize it. Also, according to the car specs, the USB connection works with "iPods and other compatible devices". I'm wondering if it's something to do with the way Apple products transmit data over USB that makes it not work with my phone. Any help would be great. BTW - this is my first Android phone and I like it much better than my iPhone 4 hands-down.

Well, you can hide any app you want if you install Launchpro and use it instead of Sense. (no rooting required!)
But, who would want to do that?

Well for instance in sense 2.0 the integrated social media with contact in the apps and phone features. Besides your gonna add an app which is basically a bite if of sense just to take up space on your phone. I wouldn't do that
Well heck. I've got alot of learning to do so I think ill avoid making any changes until I at least have a basic understanding of the device!

Unless hiding apps is critically important to you, stick with Sense.
Any Sense widgets will NOT work with Launcherpro. Love that clock and weather widget and how it looks? Gone. There are close replacements, of course, but you're just loading more and more apps to get back the stuff you lost just to hide apps in the drawer.
