Ha I actually heard that they were going to forego the whole advertising process and will be releasing them in boxes of Captain Crunch to a lucky few.

I called best buy customer service for cell phones and he said the original date given was the 14th but it has been changed..to what and when has not been determined.

I will a week from Thursday. You guys actually think that verizon would actually let best buy release this phone before they do? Their next flagship device at that. Not gonna happen. And to be honest how many times have we read where someones "buddy" at best buy gave them some inside info on when this device will release? To many to count to be honest.
 
Well, just got a call from my local BB manager. He recieved an email advising him to tell all pre-order TB folks that the phone will be aval on the 24th. He apologized several times and has been making calls for me that past week or so. I know it sound trivial, but he is giving me a free accessory of my choice for my troubles. I thought that was cool of him.
 
I called Best Buy on 23rd & 6th ave, and they told me they're officially getting the phones on Feb. 24th.

seems like its all making sense now.
 
I just went to my local Verizon store and asked the dude I've been talking to for a few weeks about the thunderbolt, and he said that they're for sure gonna have them in stock on the 17th.

Best Buy told me the 24th on the same outing.

Here is some advise, stop listening to VZW and Best Buy reps. I actually had a VZW rep tell me point blank that they find out when stuff is being released from the blogs just like we do. They don't know anything.

I know you work @ BB...but that's not gonna happen. I understand the whole "exclusive" carrier thing with the phone, but they're all gonna launch on the same date (BB and VZW) And I'd even go so far as to say Wirefly and other online retailers will have it the same day, just not brick and mortar store fronts like Walmart, etc.

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong...but more folks are reporting their BB said the 24 than your VZW rep.
Tell your Rep to put his $ where his mouth is..friendly wager...:)

No way VZW is going to let BB release their flagship, first LTE capable phone.
Too much riding on it.

lol Yes.

In the time I took to wake up early to hit those stores up, I passed by my GF's work place, and brought flowers up to her office. She was all Gushy. If I hadn't of waken up early, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to do that =).

PS. She's personally happy it didn't come out today, she thought she would be competing for attention with the phone lol.
