does android have its own messenger like blackberry?

What would be the point? If you have an evo you should have unlimited text messeging. My wife finally got rid of her blackberry and she couldn't be happier to lose the blackberry text/email box.

What does the blackberry do different? We always thought the blackberry was one of the worst text messaging phones out there.

yeah i don't see the appeal of having a limitation on who you can IM... Android is about being open after all. It's unlikely they'd ever adopt a closed, proprietary anything.

BBM is fully encrypted messaging. Not important for everyone, but pretty important in my industry.
