We have been playing around with the Thunderbolt release dates forever now, and it looks like the date just got pushed back past the most recent February 24th date floating around. We have VERY good info that this is true. We have it on good terms from one of our most reliable Best Buy contacts that on a conference call this morning the HTC Thunderbolt will NOT be making an appearance next week at Best Buy. It's sad news indeed, but we felt like everyone should know. According to our tipster it is because of production issues, nothing on Verizon or Best Buy's side of things. Anyone have some thoughts when we can expect this thing?

I totally agree with you, but my skeptical side says that maybe this makes more sense than not considering we haven't heard any official good news either. I'm hoping it is completely false though!
 
I don't believe it at this moment. I believe from all the Best Buy leaks we've been getting, we should be getting an announcement about this thing dropping very soon. If we don't hear anything from now all the way through the weekend, I'm going to believe that we won't be seeing the phone on the 24th.
 
Stop posting this sh@# already! The commercials are out, the authorized accessories are shipping. That happens a week early.

Or you know the fact that HTC has come out on record as saying they will start shipping them this week... They aren't going to anounce that unless they are sure.

What about the merge? That had accessories out and to this day still hasnt been announced for verizon. Good luck with all of verizon's bs luckily I dont have an upgrade until july so I dont have to wait and worry everyday about the phone finally being released.

The Thunderbolt hasn't been delayed at all... The dates everyone has been going off of are pure speculation and "leaked" info. The only date that has ever been given officialy by VZW or HTC was 1st Q 2011, so unless the phone doesn't come out by the end of March there is no delay.

People are getting pissed because of dates they have heard as rumor, everyone is working themselves up into this. Again the only thing we have heard from HTC is that the phones will start shiping this week, there has been no release date given.
 
I have to get a line pushed up a mo. So it's no big deal if it's pushed back four days or not I will be one of the first to get one mmmmooooooohahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
