Best Buy Details

i don't want to be a downer or spread more rumors but i went into a vzw store tonight (not a corporate store and the guy said that its not coming out till MARCH 15! any truth to this?

I wouldn't be shocked if that was true.... I'm losing hope for the 24th release date rumor..... Guess I'm gonna be stuck with my Droid X until December, unless it's released by the 24th, my last day of the 14 day trial.
 
i wonder though becuase it is not a corporate store that they are the last to get the phone. When i went to bb last week they told me that they and vzw corporate stores will get the thunderbolt first. Just a thought.
 
We don't have a street date either. I need to bug the hell out of mobile to let me know when they get them.

This must be what was meant by Best Buy's exclusivity agreement. My guess is that no one but BB and Verizon corporate stores will get the Thunderbolt until then.

This is my hope at least.

True, no third party verizon stores will be carrying it, unless they are owned by verizon and ofcourse Best buy is the exclusive retailer.

All verizon authorized dealers will get the thunderbolt. They are not corporate, but they only can sell Verizon wireless.

That's me!! I'm just trolling them. They deserve it. I'm trying to start an internet rumor (outside of our forums of course) that the phone doesn't EXIST. And truth be told, it doesn't. No more than the Merge does. Anyway, this is just my effort to frustrate VZW as much as they are frustrating us. If my #Thunderbolt #Vaporware tags get picked up and retweeted enough to where a LOT of people are believing it, maybe VZW sees the folly of all the secrecy. If not, I'M having fun :p

What should happen is we should start reporting to Droid Attic and Droid Brothers that our "trusted source" tweeted that the phone is vapor ware.

I sent them one on iPhone launch day at noon when both stocks were down. I said @VerizonWireless if you want to recover from the iPhone dip in your stock.. release the Thunderbolt. They didn't reply back for some reason.

Maybe this is just one of the normal phases of the 12 steps of dealing with a new phone release from Verizon, but I'm almost uncontrollably giggling over the way this thing is playing out. I've gone through excitement, frustration and so on and now I'm just sort of laughing at this scenario. It all seems so bizarre. Oh, well. What can you do? I'm at least enjoying coming to this site, hitting refresh every time I pass my computer and seeing what happens next. Here's to good news this weekend and thanks to all who are providing information and to an extent, entertainment. It hasn't been a typical week for sure, so at least there's that...a distraction from the norm. :)
