Release date ? (BBY Xoom page active as of 2/20)

Called three of them was told same thing. That they werent doing pre orders and when was released it would be sold first come first serve.

I called the three closest BB's and one said they weren't doing pre-orders (the closest one naturally) while two said they are doing them starting tomorrow.

Just for the heck of it I called the closest VZW corporate store and the guy had no idea what I was talking about.

I understand I was just messing around, lol.:D I am super excited and hope this phone is released and the wifi version is released at the same time. I will definitely buy this, I will hopefully get the wifi only version but if it isn't out with a month or two then I might jump on the 3g version, I just wont get the data plan because I don't need it. It appears they might make you the first month, but after that I would drop it. Lets hope I can just get the wifi only version.

I just know I want one of these bad boys, not something I need but definitely something I want. I figured my stock from work is vested might as well spend it on something I want.
 
So I just got back from Best Buy, mission accomplished!

At first the guy didn't really know what I was talking about, he got his mananger and he knew what was going on. I had to fill out a form with my name and phone number, they I paid for a $50 BBM gift card. I asked him "So do I just come in on Thursday and pick it up" he said no he said "We will call you when it's ready to be picked up" I'm not quite sure what that means but I guess we will wait and see.
 
When I registered with the Verizon store they said we will call you, I said don't worry I will be the first one there on Thusday morning they said OK.

My BB wasn't aware of the pre-sale as well. The manager had to get it straightened out. They too said i will get a call thursday to make an appointment to get my xoom.
I had to order from the computer dept and not the mobile dept.

They told me anything 10" or larger is considered a computer and not a mobile device. Some people did pre-order from the mobile dept.
 
That's strange when I called my BestBuy it was the mobile department that told me they where taking pre-orders.
 
i was the first one to pre order at the location i went to. homeboy had the preorder sheets (they had a fairly decent stack) locked up in the storage closet there behind where he sits at the mobile dept. he knew exactly where to go as they were right there in the front. :)

took less than 5 minutes.

yes they will call you to set an appointment. this is what they did with the evo.

i received my gift card and i have cash on standby to purchase the HD dock, keyboard and flip out portfolio.

I preordered today as well and on the preorder form, the dock and the case was listed as preorder items as well. (I chose those too.) The keyboard wasn't listed.
 
I just pre-ordered mine. Was given a $50 GC. No mention of WiFi in system. I wanted to wait for this, however BB has no interest for 18months so I figured what the heck and got it. Said it will be in Thursday, but with all the BB crap going on with the Thunderbolt, I am holding my breath.

I was told no pre-orders on accessories, but any 10% coupons can be used. He made check marks on the ones I wanted (keyboard and dock) and said I will get them along with Xoom.

Do you know if the flip out portfolio once installed on Xoom will fit in hd dock?
 
Same, at BB in the Atlanta area , got there when opened.
Was the first to pre-order.no one else behind me. First person I asked in the wireless department was clueless. Main dude was on it.Took credit card( $ 50) and gave me a receipt . I signed a pre-order form with my name and phone #
He said yes they will have them Thursday and they will call me for an appoinment. He said they were not taking pre-orders for accessories but will have them Thursday.
So I see no pent up demand
