Best Buy Details

Hypothetically, if the bolt is having problems, they would not ship it, in fact they would not be manufacturing it until all the bugs were worked out. I'm not in the business or anything, but I know that you cant build and ship enough phones to the entire US in just a few days. Verizon and HTC have worked out how long it will take once it is working properly, and will be the first to know what date(give or take a day or two) it will be in stores. That being said, I am no longer believing any dates that are not from Verizon directly. I am signed up in three different places to receive official updates on this phone and, like Verizon tweeted, they will tell us as soon as they know (hopefully by email since I don't use twitter).

I'll still follow this thread, of course, because at this point, anything is possible.
 
My guess is, it may (not the month) release sometime this year. Maybe July when they started working on the phone :rolleyes:

But there is never a why for anything with this launch. Then we would be able to make an educated decision on what we want to do. We wouldn't want that would we :rolleyes:

Forget the warehouses, there have been people posting on this forum who have indicated they have friends/family members/spouses that work for VZW. All this talk about employees receiving emails and no one was able to grab a screenshot? Or heck a printout that you could bring home and upload or something?

Until I see something concrete from VZW or BB corporate, I am just along for the ride like everyone else.
 
Best Buy Corporate has stayed mum at least through emails to us. We haven't heard anything about the TB besides the correction notice since 2-11

I wouldn't count on that email. I've heard claims from forum posters saying when they signed up for the Droid X and Incredible email updates that they didn't receive anything. Just saying...

True. I'm sure VZW is draconian about leaks, but you would think there's at least a few sympathetic employees on these forums. It would be nice if someone threw us a bone. Honestly, whatever the issues or hold ups, I don't see why delaying the phone should be some big mystery. If you're holding the release back, tell us why. We're (mostly) big boys and girls and can take it. Just leaving us out in the cold while taunting us with ads and BB circulars is cruel.

I signed up for OG Droid on the DroidDoes page. I remember getting the email about the Droid at 8pm ... on my Droid that I picked up at 10am that morning.

True. I guess all I'm saying is that he was SO positive it was today, then today came with no announcement and he is suddenly changing it to next week now. Then if it doesn't come next week it will be positive for the following etc. Ugh, I don't even know why I bother. lol
 
Remember, number of ads means nothing really. It depends on how they're purchased. If they're buying blocks based on certain demographics (I'm guessing they'd want to target men 18-35), then you'll see more ads for it in shows that appeal to that group.

There's also a possibility they're not buying as much nationally, but buying more local inserts in 4G markets. In that case, two people on this forum could be watching the same program and one would see a TB ad and the other could see an ad for a used car dealership.

(and this is coming from someone who said they would never ever stop using swype or swiftkey... :) )

I think it's funny that many of the pop-up ads for the t-bolt all have a button titled "learn more." Click on that - or place your calls - and you'll get a chorus of "We don't know anything." :confused:

I'm sure someone more creative than I am can come up with a more truthful name for this button. ;)
 
I think the decreasing number of ads may point towards how they were originally trying to get this phone out for launch today (24th). But I am seeing ads on more channels now than Tuesday (History Channel, MTV, Comedy Central, my girlfriend even told me she saw one on HGTV last night)

i might just stay on sprint and wait for the evo 2 if this thing doesnt come out soon
