Help Temperature

On my Evo 4G the temperature for the phone is often reported as high as 106-107F in a room with an ambient temperature of 70-72F. This is after surfing for only a short while, perhaps 15 mins. The phone will idle at about 85F. My phone has one of the 3500mA batteries. This the temperature as reported by Sense Clock and Battery Monitor Widget. I searched "temperature" before posting this new thread.
Are these temps considered high?

Nah, that's normal....In my car on a cool day, on tapatalk for 20 minutes or so, it will go as high as 104 F....no worries. If it gets to 118-120, I think it would be time for a cool down but I dont know how high would be "damage" high. :)

I've been testing running the HDMI in my truck mirroring on the headunit,I streamed the football game for 1 hour and the temp was at 117

If, after 1 hour it is at 117, I think you're fine.....btw, where do I find that little "degree" symbol on my laptop keyboard????:p

Thanks for your reply, for long trip I think I might try and figure out some sort of cooling pad. It beats watching the same movies over and over (for the passengers that is)

For degree symbol press and hold the "ALT" key then punch in 0176. Unless you have a keyboard on your laptop you may have to use specific letters with the number lock key on I think, some laptops will show you the correct letter on the key itself in very small print.

meh, doesn't work...no biggie, I don't want to get off topic here about this but I thank you. :) I'll google it and mess around with it later....

As far as your temp goes, just keep an eye on it...you'll be good:)

At the phone the measured temperature is the battery's.

The Li-Ion battery's temperature operating range is:
Discharging -20C (-4F) to +60C (+140F).
Charging 0C (+32F) to +45C (+113F).
