Help Youtube on Xoom

My YouTube app was working fine until today. When I open the app now and leave it on the home page, it crashes. If I choose browse or your channel right away it works. Also, if I log out the home page works fine. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem or why its happening?
 
Aww man I hope that doesn't turn out be a big issue. One thing I'm looking forward to about potentially ditching the iPad is YouTube, which is so slow it's basically unusable.

I have full bars on 3g so it can't be my connection. Everything else flys on the xoom. Youtube is not as snappy. Significant difference
 
Are you watching a video on the High Quality setting? I noticed even with a strong signal, HQ videos buffer a lot. When playing in Normal, they're fine. When I put the device on WiFi, I get no problems with either setting.

When I turn off HD, the video has no problem loading or playing....it just looks like complete dog vomit. Rub some vasoline in your eyes and watch a VHS tape. That will look better.
 
I think it's more of an app issue. They seem to do something to/with the content when it comes to the app for portable devices. Do a search on a desktop computer and then do a search from a mobile device and you'll see a difference in the results in what's available.
 
My YouTube is crashing immediately upon launch. Tho, if when I open the app I immediately tap the "Browse" or "My Channel" options, it doesn't crash... only when it load the home page... :(
 
i have had nothing but success with the handful of tube vids. i have even had successwith tube vids posted to the timeline in tweetdeck. full screen activates HD as well as you know and i have not had any hiccups thus far. if you guys want to post some trouble vids, then i can go there and test myself.

Go into the Xoom's settings, manage applications, go to youtube app, and clear cache, I had this problem last night, this fixed it
 
I noticed that as long as I am logged into my account it will crash upon launch on the home page. When I log out (which happens upon clearing cache)) then all is well. This shouldn't be so. Grr.
 
The audio is out of sync when I launch a video. It catches up after a bit, but its still annoying. I cleared the cache also. SOmetimes if the audio is way off, I'll get an error within YouTube (not a FC) and I have to start over again.
