RE: Delay, notifications, speculation...

do anyone phone companies come out and divulge info like that to the consumer?

Nope, hell ATT still wont admit that there is a problem with their network. Not to mention all of the Atrix running at 3G speed complaints.

I went to look at the HTC Evo shift on Sprint's network, and performed a download test on "4G", I managed just 3 megs download. By comparison my 3G HTC TP2 gets consistent 2 megs down, and on occasion 3 megs. About the only reason I would consider switching to Sprint is the young lady helping me was really cute.

That is because the tech that Sprint and ATT are using isn't true "4G". Sprint has already said they will be moving to LTE.

That's what the reps at Verizon keep telling me, the only problem is their credibility is shot for me right now.... :brokenheartednchit

I must admit, I love googling "HTC Thunderbold" news and seeing all the rehashed rumors and blogs out there that are being recycled. I'd say I've seen at least 3-4 blogs about battery life, 2 about Skype, and even a couple about delays because of the 14 day return policy needing to expire for iPhone users. Google

It may just be a local issue here, but I'm noticing my 3G connection is doing some weird things today. Maybe it's related to the roll-out of 4G with voice? Anyone else with Verizon noticing some latency with their 3G on Verizon?

I sitting right in the middle of a 4G area for vzw so I really don't want to go elsewhere. What are the chances we hear something this morning?

Well if the release date is March 3rd we will hear something today.. If its March 10th or later we wont hear anything today ... Just a guess.

That isn't true necessarily, I mean they have, in the past, not even announced the release of a phone when it dropped

If the release date were to be on the 3rd, we may assume they'd announce it today. I know it's only a little after 8am eastern time but would they have already made the announcment or would it be later in the day?

VZW did not do the same for the Xoom, so I am assuming that what they did with the Xoom, they will do with the TB. The press release did not go out until Tuesday the 22nd. The Xoom was released on Thursday the 24th.

The iFruit is a totally different beast, so I wouldn't use the iFruit as a template for future releases, unless it's another iFruit.

IMHO, look for the TB press release to go out tomorrow with a release this coming Thursday.

Uggg, there was no sign up on the website for the xoom for preorder on the website, hence no emails going out. Verizon will let us know in plenty of time to preorder. (at least those of us who have signed up on the website).
It will not be the 3rd, I will guarentee that. The earliest would be the 10th and that would mean notification would be sent out in a day or 2.

As I stated before all these dates are just speculation and nothing more. If you get your kicks by somehow trying to read between the lines, more power to you... but it will not get you the phone any faster.

Somehow I think the TB is going to get a little better notice than the xoom. I can't see vzw not giving LTE the red carpet treatment. I remember when they rolled out their first CDMA phone and all the hoopla around that. Don't think this would be a two day roll out. Could be wrong. Hoping to hear today with release on the 10th. That's my guess

I am usually in a VERY well covered area, and for some reason my text messages are taking forever to send, and my browser is lagging as well. Hmm

I'm in a dense 3G area as well, and I was dropping down to the "crappy" 1X. Would be funny if Verizon decides to do what AT&T and Sprint are doing and just juice up their 3G since their TB rollout is less than desireable right now. I'm going to check the speeds of 4G as soon as I get the TB and if it's below par, I will be bringing it to someone's attention...Maybe Panda's... :p
