[RELEASED] The 4.3 inch "Thunderbolt" aka "Mecha" aka "Incredible HD" from HTC...beyond coming soon!

OH.

Maybe Apple registered the name Thunderbolt First and now HTC/VZW worry about a lawsuit over the trademark?

Hmmmm, I think you might be on to something. Isn't Thunderbolt though and Intel thing? Given the latest that BMX said, perhaps that is the snag. A copyright on the name?

It would go with this tweet.. The Greatest Trick Verizon Ever Pulled was telling the world the Thunderbolt existed...... have a good day all and I will holla later on.

Be prepared for the launch to be next week .. not this week. Also, there will possibly be a surprise spec (or two). ;)

Please don't ask my source and I understand that my opinion may not mean anything more to anyone than anyone else's. I just want to get my statement out publicly now so that I can establish credibility for later.

Not even a hint at the "surprise spec"?

See I heard it was 6G Beiber Fever!

LMAO !!!!!

I am hoping for the third but am prepared for the 10th .... I am looking for a good case and I am thinking seriously about ordering the Rugged X Case Combo from Seidio... but good Lord I do not want to order a case for a phone that is not even announced yet ... what do you guys think ...

I still need to figure out if I should get the big extended battery or the smaller seidio one. Has anyone here used the ones that make the phone a little thicker? I haven't seen any cases that support the extended battery from HTC.

Surprise spec.... im thinking by the time it releases it will be a 2 gig quad core 6g device with a 10 mega pixel camera ;)

Bet I know ;)

Before everyone gets too excited ... about the surprise spec(s).

I don't know ... :)

What I shared is all that I know, although I suspect a bigger battery. Aside from that, your guesses are as good as mine.

I would love that but it wouldn't make sense. Any change to the chassis to accommodate a bigger battery means a huge change in manufacturing and therefore a big cost to HTC.

Anyone disagree?

I would disagree. Seido makes an after market battery that doesn't change form factor. Drop in replacement. There are also 3rd party battery makers that you have to change the back cover.

I do. Siedio has made higher capacity batteries fit in the same chassis without need for a new cover. They suck but that's another story.
