Verizon CFO: Thunderbolt launching 'very shortly'

That Samsung phone is fugly. It's fat and is there a front facing camera? Does it have root? My DI is much nicer looking and 4G will come to a slimmer phone "very soon" haha. BTW the article also says Samsung coming soon.

As for the new data plan, I'm using about .2GB and my month ends in 4 days. So I might like the new plan. My other 2 DIs are using .7 and .8 GB each. It makes sense to data cap imo since some users tether and use a lot of bandwidth. It's kind of like a corporation who uses the "commons" more than a small business will pay more taxes...
Oops... Just saw Exxon paid $0 federal taxes last year. Never mind.

Yea, it looks like the only advantages the Samsung will have are HDMI out and their screens (and maybe gingerbread), I think the TB beats it in every other way (including looks)

....Those screens are really sweet though.

I am slowy going insane over here. My g1 is now rejecting my sim card a few times a day. I tried swapping out the sim but that doesn't seem to be the problem. Between that and the battery I have just about had it. I am praying the Tbolt comes out soon...and at a lower price than $299!

I do feel that next week is more likely than this week, but I would love for VZW to pleasantly surprise me.

Fat and ugly?

Doesn't look bad to me: Samsung's 4G LTE smartphone for Verizon - Samsung Stealth V at FCC, En Route to Verizon 4G LTE Network - Softpedia

And if my eyes are not deceiving me, I'd say that is a front facing camera.

Upon looking closer, that may be a stock photo of another phone, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

There's a Verizon Wireless job fair in my area today, and while I'm currently employed, I think I'm going to go to the job fair and see if I can kick up some dirt....

Stealth looks interesting, but concerns with update frequency is there. Still, with faster chipset, amoled and 16gb? internal, it would warrant a look.

Must be releasing real soon....?

So, it does have a FFC, better screen and a better CPU. So the TB with all of it's speed (and awesomeness) will be slower.

Your starting to sound like an Apple fanboy but for HTC instead.;)

Don't get me wrong. I prefer my HTC Eris over the wife's Droid and will most likely get another HTC, but I'm not going to try and rationalize that my phone is better because the bottom isn't pointed.

RAM is the big difference I think, has the RAM in the Samsung been announced?

Agreed, but to those who have little clue it would be an hot seller if the price is right.

I agree. I'm not a fan of Samsung and happen to be an HTC'er. But I'm sure if it comes up soon with the right price, it will sway some waiting for, or not even aware of the TB.

I do not mind fugly, since my Inc has a hump due to a big extended battery. Love the amoled on my Inc and it does help battery life, unless you view a lot of white pages ;)

If the Stealth has more internal memory, I will consider it as an option. Already have 32gb cards and have one in the Inc.

Ram total in Stealth?

Yes, many of the folks on the forum are very discerning when it comes to smart phone technology...meaning will potentially wait for the best choices, like the proposed t-bolt specs. vs. i*hone, evo, inspire, etc. But don't you think that verizon must know that a big appeal that some of these phones have over the t-bolt for many of the smart phone mainstream is that they are actually here? Let's face it, delays, no matter what the reason at this point, = loss of business. Unless you're best buy and managed to get us to place a few $50 bets. :)

Like Rocky said, VZW is losing money right now keeping the TB out of our hands, and at least not announcing anything...As soon as they do though, you can bet people will flock back to the phone
