Best Buy Details

I had some inclination that when VZ finally made some sort an official comment about the TB, it would be about a new tier pricing plan. I found it too good to be true that they'd be rolling out 4G without some adjustment to rates. I'm pretty sure that the reasons for it's delay, although maybe slightly due to technical issues, is more than more than likely due to the corp suits trying to iron out the details of how they're going to guinea pig, rrr, monitor TB owners so they can properly rate their tiered plans when they roll it out.

In the meantime, I have given up on VZ for now and went to Sprint, got myself an Evo and my wife an Evo Shift. The Evo, fills a great deal of the craving that I hope would have been filled by purchasing the TB. I know, I know, hardware-wise it is a little outdated. However, it's still a great phone and it has a ton, I repeat, a ton of development for it. Also, Sprint went ahead and credited me $250 immediately for porting both numbers over from T-mobile. Not to mention Sprint provides 4G in my area whereas VZ does not, and its unlimited with only $10 extra per month for the 4G.

i'm an Evo owner--and every day the TB isn't released, it makes me second guess my desire for it. i'm now rationalizing NOT getting it. sure it's upgraded/better specs, but 3G is already fast enough for me where i am, and have ample 4g coverage (yes, i understand LTE>Wimax)

hopefully something's done soon, otherwise i'm holding out for the Evo 2---maybe it'll even be an upgraded TB in terms of specs.
and if BB carries that--well i might have to jump on that, too.

BB or VZW--i emplore you, give us something or keep losing potential customers. oy.

draw your own conclusions.

Replace cars with product launches and it describes them perfectly

I also think bennnnn is just some troll trying to stir things up... His posts make no sense...

There are also apparently, two Bennnns with different spellings. One is clearly a troll trying to get everyone riled up. The other is PROBABLY a troll trying to get everyone riled up.

Nevermind! Ya'll beat me to it! LOL I would LOVE to say that they are announcing the TB tomorrow, but I'm not gonna.

I'm skeptical because I think they'd be pushing the "data speeds" not the "call quality" since the TB is LTE.

It is my understanding that the tbolt will not have voice over 4glte right?

That being said, what better call quality is there than video?
-just a thought but probably reaching here.

All things considered though, they will have voice over 4g lte eventually and maybe it does mean announcing the beginning of 4g phones there.

I am so glad I'm not on Twitter. Seems like a bunch of a-holes telling each other stupid riddles. Like in third grade when a boy likes a girl but is to much of a wuss to say it directly.

I am starting to seriously doubt ill get the t-bolt. It isn't the same phone as advertised almost a month ago. It's not as good and the price is going up. Come on, man.

Other than Skype, how is it not the same phone?

Went to Wendy's to get a baked potato and some chili. While in line I was on the phone with my college about my upcoming class schedule. While on the call I wanted to check a class description on my phone - oh that's right, iPhone 4 on VZW can't do simultaneous voice/data - B A H - where is the Thunderbolt :-( I had AT&T for years and became spoiled by simultaneous voice and data :( /cry

I called Best Buy today and the lovely mobile department is now advising "Mid to late March". le sigh.

Uhhh, rumors of serious battery problems, maybe no mobile hotspot, maybe higher data plan costs, no Skype, and the screen is the same as the Inspire, which completely disappears in moderate sunlight.

Don't give that line about battery life being "fixed." Nobody knows that for sure and you don't extend battery life all that much with a programming update. At the most you can double the.life and that would mean maybe 5-6 hours of surfing. Which is not good for a 299$ phone. It better be damn near perfect to demand that kind of cash.
