As near as I can tell, the only concrete thing that's been shown is it's not getting Skype at launch as per VZW website. The specs on HTC's website are still the same. Everything else is rumor and conjecture. If you mean your perception of the phone isn't the same as it was a month ago because you've been reading unsubstantiated gossip on the Interwebz, then so be it. If that's all it takes to sway you, I would not ever visit forums, if I were you.

Wait till the phone is out and hard facts are known. Then make your decision based on that.

Wait you heard rumors about all that stuff? Thats weird cause I heard rumors it was coming out almost a whole month ago. Everything you heard must be true...

I don't see any specs that have been changed... everything you mention is a rumor (and the mobile hotspot has been debunked already). Not to mention nothing you are talking about was a spec...
 
Do vendors like Best Buy and the Verizon stores have a lot of these new phones in stock when they are released? Since I do not have a pre-order anywhere and am not likely to line up outside a Verizon store overnight for this thing, what are my chances of getting a phone when I walk into a Verizon store sometime late in the day or the next day?

Depends...when the Xoom launched we got 6...then yesterday (less than a week later) we got 30
 
HTC tweeted Jay and threw a smiley at the end of the message....that Bennnn guy on AC is saying that the announcement is coming tomorrow...I firmly believe it will release on the 10th.

EDIT: He posted this as the next clue to unravel the rest of the mystery (and also confirmed Netflix will be on it):
