Help Preparing SD Card?

Ok. I am unrooted. My phone has "Preparing SD Card up icon up in the top left hand corner of my phone in the notifications bar. Then when you slide it down to check it it says "Preparing SD Card Checking For Errors".

Anyone know anything about this.

Update: Now my phone just froze on a black screen. Wouldnt let me do anything. Then it rebooted itself without me powering down. Once it rebooted it is still showing the "Preparing SD Card".

What do I do?

Unrooted or rooted? I thought you were going to root your phone.

unrooted. Now it saying I have no service.

I have not even attempted to root yet.

It keeps rebooting by itself and then shows Preparing SD Card.

I also cannot access the web. This is annoying.

I am with Cricket Wireless and I was only getting 1X. I called customer service, was on hold forever, struggled with the thick Indian accent, but was able to get 3G after the call finished.

Not the same problem but perhaps they can help you.

Yeah a lot of people had issues where Cricket didn't activate their data or didn't activate it correctly.

I didn't even realize it until youtube wouldn't work properly. Then I went to the userguide and noticed my phone didn't have the 3G symbol. It just had 1X.
