Thunderbolt Launch Day Speculation/Rumor Thread

each day that goes by is one closer to the release!

that only works in a fixed release date model. :(

in this case; where the release date has not been confirmed and could be changed by more than 1 day at any given point, we could actually be getting farther away with each day goes by. unlikely, but possible, lol.

It's been a bit since I posted, mostly because I am frustrated. In any event, I called my BB and they are still saying next week. I mean hopefully it will be, but my joy is running on fumes right now. lol

I hear ya, I haven't been on as much as I was before either. But I still keep checking back hoping for real news to break.

This is exactly how I feel. I've still been interested in checking in, but I'm sort of burnt. Remembered that today a coworker of mine was waiting for her husband's results of an MRI to see if his brain tumor was not growing back and it made me realize I'm a shit for caring that the news I'm getting pissed over not getting is so trivial and not important. I suppose I'm only human, so I won't beat myself up terribly for it, but it put things in perspective.

Now you know when you get the TB, the larger battery and 4G signal is going to give you brain cancer....you damn shit! :p

Whoever says getting iphone on a network is not a big deal is simply mistaken. Verizon needed the iphone and they got it finally. The problem is that Apple fan boys will buy iphone no matter what. I am sure there are a few million on Verizon Network that have craved iphone without having to switch over to ATT.

ATT built upon the success of the iphone. Have you ever seen that they dont have any major release for like a month after the iphone launch.

It is just an apple product that has significant demand. 100 million iphones sold is not a small number. 15million ipad's in 2010 is nothing to sneeze at. So yea verizon has gotten on their knees to suck up to steve jobs for their apple products.

At the end it wont matter if people want iphone or not. Its just that Verizon wants it on their network and they will suck up to Steve Jobs and his mob.

Unrelated question, Is anyone else going to pick up an original Ipad now that their discounted? Also everyone is selling their old ones on craigslist/ebay...Prime pickins...

I see their numbers going up at colleges around the world. I have a notebook computer with an i7 that makes owning an iPad unnecessary, thus no.

Kenia: Now it is only offered in best buy
Me: They claim you haven't released it yet?

Me: They have never had them
Me: It is Apple this apple that you are the company that lead me to Android and now you seem to be abandoning it?
Me: Hello?
Kenia: No I we are not abandoning it.
Me: Well why are you lieing about Best Buy having the Thunderbolt?
Me: You need to release it before anyone can sell it?
Kenia: That is the information we were given I am sorry if you have not been able to order it or purchase it you can contact customer care at 800-922-0204 to see about getting on the list for when it is released.

I'm guessing she gets her info from the Best Buy ad.

Edit: Sorry! Noticed already posted by by HTCThunder. Still nutty stuff, none the less.

Where does this stuff come from? Considering the entire premise is wrong (VZW is HTC's customer- not the other way around), this kind of stuff is nuts. DOUBLE so, for people that treat it as real. Seems quite a few at DroidForums may have subscriptions to the National Enquirer and believe wrastling' is real. Jeepers. No offense to the non-believers.

although I could definitely believe HTC is getting fed up with Verizon because I know I would be

That article seems concocted by a geek with no bidness' background.

Assumption of course being the device did NOT have problems, VZW sat on it, and HTC (Very customer loyal company) suddenly got nuts. HTC is paid- regardless of the issue (if VZW fault). Also, if product is slowed down for sale and work in process, components and end item stock is sitting around, VZW will compensate for that too- If VZW again, is the problem.

In summary, either way HTC gets their money.

added:

None the less, I still think there is a chance for pre-orders next week- probably not actual devices.

yes its true htc gets there money from verizon BUT by verizon holding on to the phones and not releasing them verizon is not ordering anymore to replace the ones sold. so essentially htc is losing money because theyre not producing anymore phones since verizon aint selling em.
