Best Buy Details

The sentrix guy just responded to my post on droid forums and said it was supposed to be the 10th, and as of early this morning htc and vz agreed to announce it on the 8th and release on the 17th.
 
I read @ android central he has verified his job @ vzw corporate , don't know what he does. Probably spreads rumors to android forums. :D

Anyone notice how sentrix post a new rumor or date immediately after ben5 does? sentrix appears to be just going off of other rumors.
 
Just got out of my BB where I preordered (had to bring my printer in to Geek Squad) and asked about the TBOLT. THe gal who originally took my preorder said that all they know is March. I asked about the $249 price from when I preordered and the free buy back, she said that "George" (I'm assuming her manager?) said that he will honor the free buy back for those who preordered back then, but she's unsure about the price. I guess that is something...at least for me.

Well I just called my BB and they said there VZW rep said the 17th maybe later but hopefully not.. Sounds like they get there info from forums to.. *sigh*
 
I just got banned from the droid forums because I called the sentrix guy a liar and that he is full of bs cause he has no proof to back anything up. He changes his story everyday. Droid forums blows anyway
 
the guys at my best buy told me to check android central. I corrected him of course and directed him here .:)
 
I ditched and the TB, went and got my pre-order money back (they said they were unable at first). Good luck guys and gals. I decided that the Inc will be good enough..... One yr contract online for 130 bucks, upgrade in 10 months!

heck if it does come out the 10th or the 17th or..... I can just Exchange!

Same thing i did. Sept i picked up the iPhone 4, that way if it comes out after my 14 days, and i just gotta have it, I can sell the iphone for way way more on Craigslist!
 
Rule 1) If you're a tester or work for VZW Corp, you sign ironclad NDA's that will absolutely prevent you from divulging ANY information. There's millions and millions of dollars at stake if you leak info about an upcoming phone (i.e. phone has battery issues, etc.).

Rule 2) Anyone claiming to have inside info (Black Man X, Benn, Jerry, Sentrix) are all just looking for some geek love. The true tech people with inside knowledge are usually mum about release dates or pre-production issues because they have to... otherwise it'll be last time VZW or HTC will ever work with them at best, or be liable financial damage.

Rule 3) I'm going to stop posting in these threads because they are just getting lame and almost sadistic with people trying to cling to anything some douche-bag blurts out.

funny thing about this is i doubt even bmx knew that it would be released on the 17th ( since i doubt even verizon knew a date for it) i think he just took a shot in the dark and if it does release on the 17th everyone will be praising him like he knew all along

I'm going to throw something out there... what if BMX does what he does with the blessing of Verizon? Hear me out... We know from this launch that Verizon doesn't want to say ANYTHING about anything. BMX gives them an outlet without saying anything officially. Here sure knew more about this phone than we did.
