GOSMS facebook sync

I have two questions actually, but the first is about facebook sync. This application automatically syncs your facebook photos without asking? I noticed that the photos appeared matching my facebook contacts and it did this without my permission.. :( This is very disturbing to me.

My second question, and please correct me if I am wrong, but it seemed that in handcent, you could set the size break at 160 for cdma networks by individual contacts. It appears that GOSMS only has the option as global setting? Most of my friends are not on cdma networks but a couple are. Would be nice to only change that setting for those individuals.

So far the app looks very nice! I figured that I would try it and see if I like it better than handcent. (no adds.) But the facebook thing has me a bit nervous.

Thanks.

I didnt authorize it?

This means that this application is accessing my facebook without my permission. That is what is disturbing about it.

In the facebook application the default setting is to sync with existing contacts. If you want to change it, open the facebook application, on the main page push menu and select settings. At the bottom select "sync contacts" and choose "Remove facebook data" then it will no longer sync.

My phone settings do not allow syncing with facebook.

When you first logged into the facebook application it synced your data since the default setting is to sync with existing contacts. That data would have already been placed on your phone when you disallowed facebook syncing in your phone settings.

The settings in the facebook app were already set not to sync. :| I have never changed this setting so I am to assume that it has never been set to sync.

Ask and you shall receive. I noticed that yesterday GOSMS included an option to use or not use facebook photo's with gosms. I emailed them last weekend. That was fast!

Its still a little fishy and I wonder if it is getting the photo's from cache on your phone or??
