I somehow got my gmail account disabled. Last night i tried logging in over and over until i finally got the message that my account has been disabled. So here's my problem...the thing works only if you have a google account for apps, marketplace etc.. so do i have to restore to factory defaults? If i do what information will be kost an is there away to back up my info to the sd card....please any information you can povide will be appreciated......

LOLOL I did it too and emailed google but i set up another account years ago and I thought this was the same one so they decided not to reinstate this account due to my answers...uggh
So I guess I have to reset to factory default right?
How do I back up my contacts, apps etc?
I already have another gmail account which im sure of the password lol
I just need it to be the main so I can access the marketplace and hopefully on the 18th get my Froyo

How did you get it working?

I called metro and told them my problem...I asked them if i could do a restore to default to factory to see if I would have to call them to set up my phone service...they said no and I did it....no problems it booted fine!!!!

Google recently had 40,000 accounts compromised. Your account lockout may have been one of those - or a single-bit error in your password, followed by what their servers perceived as multiple sequential invalid logins could have also triggered it.

Glad it's working! :)

For future reference,

Contacts-
Go to contacts screen,
Menu physical button,
More,
Manage contacts,
Backup to sd.

Apps-
ONLY IF ROOTED

Use titanium backup,
Backup/restore tab,
Physical menu buton,
Batch,
Second option "backup all user apps".

Save the contact backup and titaniumpro backup folders to your computer for safe keeping.
