ok so i got 2 questions

1) if i update my phone to 2.2 froyo will it delete the icarus mod thing too?

2) what is better/faster, 2.2 or icarus mod 1.1

2 I don't know. The official 2.2 isn't out yet to compare.

i'm icarus prone....

2.2 official isn't coming fast enough for me and icarus works awesome. it's a $100 phone i didn't expect it to be this good and 2.2 may just push it too far imo.

I like Icarus 1.1. I believe that is very stable as compared with everyone I've known who has used the Froyo roms provided. I personally believe that Icarus was made for speed and optimum efficiency for this phone. I will not be changing to any Froyo. I will only change if there is a mod that Isaac makes that is similar to Icarus. I like technology but, I know a stable platform when I see one. This phone is limited, No matter what. I will go with what makes it work the best.

1: Yes when you put a new rom on your phone it delete the previous rom.

2: I'm running Icarus 1.1 and its very fast and I'm glad I did it. I believe there is more then one Froyo rom and I heard that they have bugs, but I haven't tested them myself.

Even if 2.2 comes out, I will stick with Icarus until there are some official comparisons. And, even then, i'll probably still stick with Icarus. I am plenty happy with it.

just saw your question in a2sd so i thought i'd add that the 2.2.1 rom will not support full a2sd like icarus does. you will only be able to move certain apps to sd with it's standard apps2sd.

as for zipalign- it tells the a2sd program to align(order) all it's stuff for better performance on boot.

at least that's what i've gleaned in about five minutes of scanning the forum.
