No HDMI out?

There's no HDMI out? Man, that's the only thing that's missing from making this phone to be one of the best. I'm surprised they didn't include it.

Yeah honestly if it had an HDMI out I probably wouldn't mind a 2yr contract. It's honestly the only thing missing. I use my Video out on my Incredible regularly until my pupppy got ahold of the cord haha

I at least have a PS3 and my TV has DLNA but I used video out mostly at other peoples house . Not everyone has a TV with DLNA and it's just easier to plug in a cable

Just pulled the trigger and bought one online. What is dlna or should I ask, how do you use it? Googled it but it's really not entirely clear. How about the reader's digest version?

I know when I first heard about it , it was hard to get a clear cut answer. I haven't used it yet but basically if you have TV or Media Player that has DLNA you can stream media contant to the device wirelessly from your Thunderbolt . I've heard great things and awful things about it. We shall see , my new TV that I should be recieving mid next week has DLNA and so does PS3 apparently so I'll report back on how it works

Still I think HTC droped the ball on the HTC out . I'm hoping there's at least a Video out like the Incredible

Digital living in two steps
First you need a home network -- wired or wireless -- and you're ready to get started. That's because DLNA Certified devices today connect, discover and communicate with each other over a home network, like the one you might already have for sharing your broadband Internet. (There might be other ways to connect in the future.)
Next, go and buy the new DLNA Certified products available on the market today, and many more that will be available soon. Once you have those connected to your home network, you can find out what they can do in The Possibilities.

From Getting Started - DLNA

So any media that's on this phone, including video, can be played through my PS3 and displayed on my older flat screen tv?
