I'm having not problems either with mines, at work, home and so a far all the other places I've been to since getting the phone on Friday has been steady 4g.

No issues at all here .. And I have two friends with the phone who haven't reported any issues either .

Loving my Thunderbolt huge hupgrade over any other android phones I've owned Droid, Droid Eris, Incredible, DroidX and Fascinate

this thing blows them all away by a lot

No issues here at all. I have yet to drop a call. Have yet to lose GPS lock. Have yet to have any data issues.

Even my battery life, while not the greatest in the world, has been acceptable. I simply charge it over night, charge it whenever in the car, and might get a charger for the office. I dont go below 30% batt even with very heavy voice/data usage.

i can understand your frustration, but i do believe you're one of the minority having as serious of issues with this phone as could be had.

bought mine thursday night--and i actually have better bettery life (i'm surrounded by LTE) than my Evo and i'm loving this phone.

good luck

you all can say what you want, but ive seen at least 3 other topics on here stating similar problems. On my Moto Droid, calls came in when someone called 99% of the time, my 3g data worked flawlessly. How many times have I been able to browse the internet on this phone? maybe a total of 45 minutes at best. Because with this phone I get absolutely no 3g service. Seems like it has a sh*tty antenna or something. As I also stated, it very well could be because I am having to use a sim card now. Maybe that changes the service, but if that is the case then the VZW reps should recommend not getting the phone outside of 4g areas. And for those of you who say "im not in a 4g area and it works perfect" How big of a city do you live in, where are your towers at? I live in a city of 1000 people, the next town is around 40,000. The closest 4g area is 2hrs away in Columbus, OH. so while I had perfect 3g on my moto droid, I for some reason, cant get any 3g service on this thing and on the rare occasions I have I dont even get a bar, only the 3g icon with no bars lit up beside it. Let me rephrase,
If you live in or near(within 1/2 hr) a 4g area, you're probably safe to get the phone and enjoy it, but if youre over and hour from a 4g area, I wouldnt recommend this phone at all. I shouldve known better than to get an HTC. Motorola made the best Android phone with the droid. It, so far, is better than my sister-in-law's incredible, my brother and wifes r2d2's, better than my sisters droid 2. But so far Motorola's droid phones dominate HTC's. The droid 2 line blow away the icredible, as does the droid x. And I will go out on a limb right now and say that the Motorola Droid Bionic will dominate this phone in every aspect as well. Like I said before it is a shame because I really was looking forward to the Blunderbolt

Best phone on the market by far. But it does have 2 major flaws....1 of which is truly important. Those 2 major flaws are:

1. battery- its atrocious. Almost unmanigable. With even moderate use expect it to be dead well before your work day is over. If it lasts a full day you are fortunate or dont use the phone often at all

2. outside speaker is terrible. You can barely hear sound coming out of it. Its so bad that if you put it on speaker while driving you wont hear the sound. I have a 2011 vehicle that rides quiet and the speaker still can't be heard over outside noice.

Other than those 2 issues the phone is amazing quite honestly. Does everything else well but those 2 issues are major.

Every device forum has a few posts by members here going off on that device, as if it is one of the worse ever, etc. Some users get pretty mad when they encounter issues, and we end up seeing a thread like this one that seems so ranty right from the start.

That's why I posted that review here a while ago, just to add to the perspective being posted by many who have no issues.

And, talking about the relative merits and/or issues with the Thunderbolt is the way to go, but talking about other members isn't. ;)

Would a bluetooth / hands free speaker take care of this issue?

this phone has the best signal of any phone i have ever had. i live in a basement and my bedroom is on the opposite side of the house of the wireless router. this is the only phone to have full signal with wifi. the gps is closer, its the only phone that could ever pick my exact address and not just a random house on my street and ive never had a problem with 3g on any verizon phone(except when it was new)

im not in a 4g area so no report on that yet.

Very few teething issues here. I think it is a great phone and will only get better as bugs are worked out.
Nothing but a positive experience here.
Sorry for your troubles.

Yeah I've noticed a huge increase of call quality and reception since upgrading from the Incredible . I've been very impressed at pretty much every aspect of this phone

I've already sold my x and am ready to commit to this thunderbolt. Got over 12 hours off the charger with typical use for me and all but 2 of those hours were on 4g. Signal strength is great and sense makes ninja blur look clunky and slow.. sorry you've had a bad experience with it but most of us are generally happy with the phone. Good luck with your next device!

I'm sure it would. I'm thinking of getting a speaker myself. would be nice to take my phone to the beach and hear some music without bringing a radio along.

but the stock speaker in back isn't close to being adequate.

I've got a Dinc and a DX (both rooted), and a Xoom. Picked up the T-bolt over this past weekend. So far I'm very happy with this latest phone. Unfortunately my area is still only 3G, but this is supposed to change soon.

Love the T-bolt.

I live about an 1.5 hours from Columbus Ohio and 45 mins south of Toledo. I only get 3G coverage and my TB gets great reception. Not a single dropped call and I'm on it all the time.

Right. As i'm on my 4th refurb Droid. You must be a Motorola fanboy. I get jealous over my wifes HTC Incredible every single day as i'm stuck with the crappy Motorola phone.
Got my original Droid the day it came out. Never had a refurb, and still runs like the day I got it.

Thread closed while I go through and see who decided to violate the Zero Tolerance Policy and Forum Rules.... those who did can expect infractions or vacations.

OP - I'm sorry that you got stuck with a bad phone. It sucks! It may be the TB, it may be VZW that's the problem. No way for me to know.

My advice would be to give it another shot. If the next one still has the same problems, perhaps it's time to try a different device.

Regardless, thank you for sharing your input and experiences of the device and service with us!!! I know that I, for one, appreciate it.

This thread, however, will remained closed. Unfortunately, there are fanboys both for this phone and against this phone that refuse to see anything other than their own narrow minded world and can't accept that others have poor experiences and that the perfect phone for you may not be the perfect phone for me and vice versa.

To all - Please take the time to reread the Forum Rules and Zero Tolerance Policy. I'm simply amazed and disappointed at some of the childish comments that have been posted from both sides of the fence. Please remember that the forums are a place for us to all come together and HELP one another. They aren't a place for us to come together and bash and beat up each other.

Find a way to help another user or at least try to make a helpful or sympathetic comment (HUGE thank you to those of you who did)! If this is too much to ask, simply hit the back button or the

button and let a member of the staff deal with it. There is no need for name calling, troll calling, or any other kind of derogatory mud-slinging on these forums.
