Help Looking for a Battery app - increment of 1%

Roze

Hiding behind a mystery
So we all know that the Atrix's battery indicator drops every 10%. So I tried looking for 3rd party batter apps/widgets and they seem to be all dropping by 10% increment as well. Some of the apps/widgets, I KNOW decreases by 1%, so I find this strange. Is there a battery app/widget that shows a decrease of 1%?

Tried:
Battery Widget - 10% only
Battery Solo Widget - 10% increment
Battery Indicator - 10% as well. Interesting to note is that in the market description, there is a limitation 'Motorola Droids and Samsung Moment only show every 10%.

I am wondering if the Atrix falls under 'Motorola Droids' and faces this bloody limitation?

If the above is true, would rooting enable a way to get 1% incrament in the battery indicator?

Thanks,
-Roze-

I am rooted and I am experiencing the same issue and I am assuming everyone else is...
Beautiful Widgets - 10%
System info - 10%
Quick Battery - 10%
Battery solo widget - 10%
Gauge Battery - 10%

I think we are S.O.L

I've been using circle battery widget and it works great. Show's decreases of 1% on my atrix.

Well it is decreasing by 1% but it doesn't seem accurate. The Atrix battery indicator shows it as 60% and circle battery shows it as 58% I think 60% for the battery would be between 60-69%. Are you noticing this Zator?

I have noticed that. I think that the phone is just applying the basic rules of rounding. For numbers 5 and above it the phone seems to round the battery % up and for numbers 4 and below the phone seems to round battery % down. Honestly at this point I have more faith in the widget considering the phone will only show battery percent in 10% increments.

I was thinking this too, which if it is, is really stupid of Moto :/ But I think you're right, Zator. Stock battery says 50% and Circle battery reads 53%.

Has anyone tried the Super Circle Battery ?? I have ( had ) this on my Galaxy. Rooting would be required, but its relatively easy to do. If I find the link I'll post it, but I originally found out about it from XDA.

This is a known limitation in Motorola's hunk of the OS - battery increments are only reported back to any app in 10% increments - anything else reported is a "guesstimate" by an individual app and not an actual read of voltages etc. Be thankful for 10% - I owned a Moto DX and the initial 2.1 OS with motoblur only allowed 20% increments. It's pretty mind boggling what manufacturers like moto will do to try and make their very expensive devices a little less user friendly.

FWIW, I'm using the Minimalistic Text suite (customizable text based widgets), which has a 1% battery widget. It's working on my Motorola Defy. However I'm not sure of its accuracy as I have not monitored it closely.
