Need help for choosing logo for my Android APP

Hi Guys,

I am developing an IR remote control app for android powered devices and now I am at the stage of selecting logo for my app. Can you please reply to this post saying which logo you like (see below) Thanks!

I do a lot of graphics artwork and would be willing to help in the logo design. Post copies of your logos with transparent backgrounds and I'll return with some nice logos. If the ones I return aren't to your liking, I can design most anything. Let me know :)

Can you provide a link to your portfolio?

scadabg, I'm liking all those logo's up there - no need to outsource to ardchoille when you've already got a great array to choose from!

I like number 2 - I don't know if it was your intention or not, but the IR+androidman looks a lot like an IR diode...love it!!

Here is some of my artwork, and here are some of my apps.

I've been doing graphics artwork for years. Here are some of things I have done:

  • Application development for the Android platform
  • Contributions and artwork to Fedora Linux
  • Contributions and artwork to GNOME
  • Contributions and artwork to PmWiki
  • Contributions to Ubuntu Linux
  • Contributions and artwork to the Android community
  • Design icon themes
  • Designed graphics for DistroWatch
  • Design GTK/Metacity themes
  • Design html templates
  • Design skins for conky, gKRELLm, mplayer and other apps
  • Design themes for almost any need
  • Write documentation
  • Write shell scripts
  • Write tutorials
And here is my public profile.

For me, it's between 2 and 5. I'd probably go with 2, as you can utilize the front end (the IR with the Android head on top) as a short logo, where as you don't really have an option of that nature with 5.

Something with the color red in it. The one above kinda makes me think it will take you to an app to where you can stream movies/shows and such. just what I think when I see a pic of a television set... I like #2 in the first post :)

In the OP like 2, 3, and 5. Would say I like 2 the best.

The others I like the green and blue one. Would like to see if you could put the "ir" inside the green android screen, then you could use the android tv with "ir" insdide as the icon.

I totally agree, that would look very nice.

Yes I'm definitely liking the green and blue one. And would definitely put the ir inside the TV like previously stated. Looks super clean and fresh. It's nice!

Whoa. Just Googled this project. Sounds like something I'd be interested in. The Xfinity TV app only goes so far with regards to doing away with my remote- can't switch inputs with it.

How's the progress on the project, and what physical hardware would be required?

I like #2. It will handle a lot of reduction, which you may need in order to use it in some places. Some of the others would be a bit busy after reduction, and the TV screen one in a later post keeps looking like "Oirdroid" to me.

Thanks for your votes the project is in BETA Testing stage now and we have made some modules for these tests. Beta testers are welcome :) . The module's cost for beta testers will be very low. If you are interested about the project updates you can follow me on twitter @irdroid
