My previous phone was a Verizon Blackberry Storm 1. It goes without saying how badly the Thunderbolt kicks my old phone's butt.

OG Droid and proud of it. That phone was awesome, in fact my wife uses it now so it is still in the family :)

No WebOS love?

Is that still around:confused: JK

I didn't even think of it TBO. Also it would be a much longer list to have every smartphone choice.

On a side note, if the hardware was great from the beginning on the Palm Pre I think it would have been much more popular than it was. But they made the whole thing out of plastic. People were getting cracked screens without even dropping it. But I do like the OS, it's really slick.

I loved my Incredible with HTC sense, and I'm even more happy with my Thunderbolt. Funny cuz now my battery life over the last few days has increased to about the same life as my Incredible! What else can a guy ask for :D

Rocked the G1 for two years. In Feb, I ended my contract with T-Mo, picked up an Dinc for free, and had that for almost a month before I traded it in for the T-Bolt.

I got all yall beat with the biggest POS phone ever made. It was SO bad that Sprint and Samsung both gave up supporting it shortly after it came out! LOL

Samsung Moment.

HTC Eris. Many people had problems with their Eris but mine was fine the entire time I had it. The Thunderbolt is an Eris on major steroids...huge upgrade.

I also like the talk & surf feature since I'm often on the phone for extended periods during the week and can now get emails & look things up.

I just bought my TB tonight and evolved from a Samsung i730 Windows OS with no Data package to a Thunderbolt.

I feel like I have moved from one of those old fashioned walkie-talkie large brick phones you see in Get Smart.

Can't wait till my TB arrives.

smartphone history:

BB Curve -> BB Storm -> BB Storm 2 -> Moto Droid -> Thunderbolt

gotta say, there is not a single thing i miss about BB. they are so far behind the times now that they'll never catch up. i do miss some things about my droid though... namely multicolor LED options with no time out (orange/green only with a 5 minute time out on the 'bolt sucks), and the extremely loud speaker. looking at pictures, i assumed the 'bolt speaker would be just as loud or louder, but that certainly is not the case. it is also kind of backwards that my OG Droid is running at 1.2gHz (1.0 for the 'bolt) and utilizing Android 2.3.3 (2.2.1 on the 'bolt). all in all though, i am happy with the new purchase... and i can't wait to see what is coming down the road for those of us who rooted. my droid would have been outdated months ago if it weren't for all of the custom kernels/ROMs out there.
