Hey every body. I'm new to the Android community, though I have always admired those I've seen. But I'm currently with Alltel, who just got bought out by AT&T. Me and my wife just got our new HTC Arias, but we have not been informed when the switch will actually take places, other then "Should be before May". Well were real excited to start using them, but can't. So I guess all this boils down to is that I was wondering if we can download apps via Wifi, or on the computer and transfer them without messing with the future activation?

Most apps are linked to your Google account, not your carrier. You should be able to install via WiFi or Sideload without problems. If for some reason the carrier switch requires a wipe of the phone, you can re-install the apps.
