Help TB and Connecting to Computer Problems....

Familyguy1

So everytime that I go to connect my TB to the computer via usb, it freezes my computer up. I have HTC Sync installed. When I connect to my computer, what option should I choose? If I choose a different one, it does not matter, the computer is still frozen. It freezes up the computer to where I have to do a hard restart and its really starting to piss me off.... I also chose the HTC sync option and it searches my computer for it even though I have I installed and running when I connect the USB!!

I am running Windows 7 64-bit.

Help, please!! :(

What are trying to do?

Uninstall HTC Sync on your pc. When you plug it in, on your phone set it as a disk drive

I have done that, but it freezes up regardeless...

I want to add music to the SD card... and custom skins etc.

I set it as disk drive. It came up with the menu asking what I want to do and I click open folder to explore files and the it freezes up.

I had this problem too. I thought my computer was freezing up so I just let it sit for about ten minutes and I was able to access everything. Just be patient.

I wish I had an answer for you, but I can say I've had no problems with my phone connecting to my Win7 64bit machine. I installed the Verizon drivers from the 'CD' drive and skipped the rest, save for DoubleTwist with AirSync...

Verizon Drivers? Oh you mean when you first connect it and it comes up with that screen that says "x driver is installed" and "x is not", etc?

Ill let it sit for a bit.. thanks!

Edit: letting it sit did not work either

Do you have an antivirus installed? If you have Norton or McAfee especially, try disabling and then try connecting. McAfee and Norton are 'deh debil'.

Aha! Thats it...odd about Avast! though....anyway. So I "Sync" to HTC Sync yet it does not sync..is it because the TB is not supported?

Im still kicking myself that I never thought of it...

I should put my Paypal account as a sig considering how many times I've helped people on here.... :p

Last I heard, some of the features like the HTC Sync, etc aren't released to work with the TB. Maybe Verizon should've delayed this thing another 2-3 months.....;)
