My return date is approaching.

I want to make sure everything is in order.

my phone won't vibrate in vibrate mode for a recieved sms? It will for incoming calls though!

I havent seen this issue yet.

Ideas?

(and thee keys lag when typing this post on this site); but I have heard of this issue)

You have to open your messaging program and change the setting to vibrate in there.

If there's another way to get everything to vibrate by using only the volume buttons or sound settings in main settings menu please let me know!

Can somebody else check this on their phone?

I don't want text messages to vibrate EVERY time.

Wait, do you want it to vibrate when you get a text or no?

The guy above said what to do. Go into the messaging app and make sure its set to vibrate in there.

I think that we would like to know if there is a way to put the ringer and SMS on vibrate without having to change both sound settings and SMS settungs. For example, if you're going into a loud environment and press the volume down to get the phone to vibrate, you still have to go into SMS settings to get your text msgs to vibrate. I normally don't have anything on vibrate but would like to be able to set both ringer and text to vibrate in only one step. Any ideas?

nobody else find it kind of disturbing that you have to change 1 extra setting to make your phone vibrate for sms, every time?!?!

This is how all HTC phones work. With my Eris... it was either you turned that setting on and the phone vibrated whenever you received a text - regardless of the sound profile... or, you turned it off and the phone never vibrated. Same thing with the TBolt.

I agree, it should be handled the same way the ringer is handled, but it isn't.
